I purchased this product to coat my raw finish mild steel RotRodMiniBike.com - CT100U Header Pipe with RLV Silencer for my Coleman Powersports - CT100U Mini Bike. I used 4 heavy coats & installed the header pipe to do the proper heat cycles to cure the silicone coating. After doing the heat cycles the smooth finish turned into a textured finish, which looks far better than the smooth finish in my opinion. The durability is pretty darn good if you cure the silicone coating properly & is light years more durable than VHT - Flame Proof Paint which is complete garbage. I am going to be purchasing a bunch more of this product to silicone coat every single exhaust on every single engine I own from pit bikes, mini bikes, riding lawn mowers, cars, trucks, & ect... to make sure they will not rust. After owning & using this product, I highly recommend it to anyone because this is a product that actually works extremely well & its also pretty darn durable compared to any other high temperature heat coatings on the market. Trust me when I say this is a great product that will not let you down!

I have been using this for a few years on every exhaust wrap and it is well worth it. I let the wrap heat and cool a few cycles (I apply it wet) then when dry I apply 2 light coats. The wrap is then nicely sealed, won't smoke or smell and is ready for a long lifetime of use.

I’ve used the whole can on a set of headers. But the thing is it doesn’t dry, I’ve left it under the sun the whole day and still it hasn’t cured. You gotta like put it inside the oven to cure, or it’ll cure when it’s installed and gets through heat cycle but it is wet still when you install it very messy. But oh well it’s good peace of mind having it onto the headers, it protects it I believe. Still I’d recommend before installing headers.
