Natural, Effective, and Smells Great!
Wondercide has become a must-have in our home! It’s incredibly effective at keeping mosquitoes, ticks, and other pests away—and the best part is, it’s made with clean, natural ingredients so I feel safe using it on myself, my kids, and even around our pets. No harsh chemicals, no overwhelming scent—just a pleasant, fresh smell that actually works. We love that it doesn’t leave a sticky residue and can be reapplied as needed without worry. It gives us peace of mind when we’re out in the yard, at the park, or camping. I’ve recommended this to so many friends already—it’s hands down the best natural insect repellent we’ve found!

Worked for Mosquitoes
I liked the light peppermint scent of this product. I brought this with me to Lake Michigan, Zion National Park, and Tampa. This worked for me in Lake Michigan and Zion to prevent mosquito bites. However, I also brought this with me to Tampa. Unfortunately, this did not work for the no-see-um bugs and got bitten all over. I was hoping it would work since they are a tiny version of a mosquito, but NOPE... Lastly, the pump sprays do not work very well. The pump would get stuck and I would have to re-lift in order to spray again. It was a pain if I wanted to spray myself more than once. I still liked the product for mosquitoes though. The company should consider buying their pump sprays elsewhere though.

SAFE FOR SKIN CONTACT
Take it from someone with skin issues, Wondercide Natural Deet-Free Mosquito and Insect Repellent Spray is just top shelf to me. If it has a down side I have not found one. It is all natural and made from food grade ingredients, it is so gentle on skin, if you look at the ingredients you can see it contains oils and vitamins that are healthy for skin. I prefer the lemongrass scent, I could spray it several times a day just for the relaxing smell. Aside from the above, it actually works as a repellent. It keeps the biters like mosquitoes away but is not harmful to other beneficial insects. I think Wondercide went out of its way to make something so environmentally friendly that they should get some kind of award. On the bad side and good side let me say a bottle is a bit expensive but a little goes a long way and it works without the dangers of chemical sprays that say "do not put on skin" I have been a Wondercide user for years and have converted several friends over to their human and pet products. If you really want a treat for you and your pet, try some of their shampoo bars, they come in a variety of wonderful smells and are very healthy for your pets. I know I sound like a sales person, but I am not, I am just a very very very satisfied customer who no longer has skin issues when using Wondercide to prevent bug bites.

The sprayers stop working quickly
To be 100% honest, I love the product, but what a hassle it is to get out in the field where you want to work your dog and you can't spray this product on them. I figured it was a fluke, so I bought more bottles, and those stopped working as well. They sincerely need to improve the delivery system so the product can be reliably used. What a waste it is to have to buy better spray bottles to pour the awesome Wondercide into. With that being said, I spray the product all over myself and it's just as effective as the less natural Off products. I may have to reapply after a couple hours, but there's nothing harmful in it, so I'm not very worried about it. I use a bunch of Wondercide products, including flea and tick spray (also in a nonfunctional sprayer bottle) and their pet collars. As someone who has working dogs, I hang a collar in front of a dog box to keep mosquitos and black flies from bothering my dogs when they're in the back of my SUV with the back hatch open. I accidentally bought cat collars that were too small for my German Shepherds, so I came up with this use for them and they have a pretty good life span as a bug deterrent while my dogs are resting in their boxes. I just can't tell you how frustrating it is that I've ended up with so many inoperable spray bottles. Such a waste of plastic! I have four of the product I'm reviewing and 1 flea/tick spray and not one of them actually sprays.

Actually works. Strong fragrance.
I do outdoors scientific fieldwork in very dense vegetation and tall grass/shrubs in the southeastern US. When I’m in a group of people, I tend to be a magnet for bites and stings, more so than anyone else. I spray a combination of this and deep woods deet spray onto myself right before beginning fieldwork. While others with me who have only used deet spray are plucking ticks off of their skin and clothing throughout the day, I almost never have any. Over the course of about 30 non-consecutive field days, I’ve only found one tick on my skin. I think the combination of this spray and deet really work. During non-fieldwork times (just outside on a normal warm evening), the wondercide spray alone works just fine. The fragrance is incredibly strong. The lemongrass smell is pleasant, but it lasts for days on clothing, even after washing. I store the bottle in a medicine cabinet and the cabinet seems to smell permanently like the spray. I’m not upset because it’s a pleasant smell for me, but keep this in mind. One more thing…my dog hates the smell of this. I’m not sure if it’s just the lemongrass or what, but just don’t be surprised if your dog also doesn’t like this.
