Use this Quality Whey, or no way (whey)!!
Promix is my upgrade from the cheapest supermarket grade protein powder once I performed more research on quality whey protein. Why? Decided to enter a physique competition to finally challenge myself to get in optimal physical condition at the tender age of 43 (most think I'm in my mid-30s). I am in good shape, but I want to be in phenomenal shape, where even guys try to sneak a peek due to your cover model body type. With the intensified discipline of counting grams of protein, measuring meat on a digital scale, 5am workouts before work and strict nutrition, I could no longer cheap it out with low grade protein isolates with fillers, sweeteners, additives and harsh (acid) processing methods which causes a key deficiency in amino acids making it difficult for your body to process. You think you are low carbing and your poor protein product is adding them without you knowing.Promix is a vast improvement with quality whey protein, nice flavor without the sweeteners (which I prefer to add myself instead of some company doing it for me - control the quality people). It is easily digested without the bloating and gas (even with isolates, the tell tale sign of a cheap whey product). This will be my go-to whey protein as it was affordable in bulk (5lb. container, comparable in cost to the cheaper supermarket protein that is already half empty with an increasingly larger scoop - they are not fooling no one). Promix helps propel me towards my physique goal for my competition this year and once achieved, maintenance is just hitting the cruise button.Superb product, for those who grind in the gym, not taking 5 minute cell breaks between sets.

gross fart smell to the powder
this protein powder is funky and the bag seal is really hard to close. i got the chocolate peanut butter protein powder a while ago from them and loved it--had amazing texture and great taste. this one smells off as soon as you open the bag and even worse when you add water/milk to it. the texture is kind of grainy too. wish i would have returned it in the return window because now im stuck with so much of it.

Good Clean Protein
This is a great Protein. I did extensive research before purchasing because I wanted a "clean" product. I work out 5 days a week and over the last few years have done it without any "product" because, quite simply, they scare me and I don't trust the ingredients. It amazes me all the crap in the protein powders and supplements on the market we "healthy people" will ingest blindly. Info to great lengths to eat clean so unwanted a Protein which was as clean as possible as well. This seems to be it.If you are looking for a sweet chocolate taste then this powder is not for you. Go find a different powder packed with sugar and additives. With that said the taste is very pleasing to me with water and, if I am at home, I'll mix a tiny bit of chocolate almond milk and water with the powder and it tastes amazing! The powder mixes well with a shaker cup.Overall I have seen a measurable increase in recovery time between workouts. I haven't noticed a tremendous increase in mass or anything like that, but having quite a bit of lean muscle mass to begin with I wasn't expecting to see a noticeable difference. No problems with the bag as others have mentioned.Overall great product and I will absolutely be buying again!

It's not bad at all
The only real value I see to this is the "healthier" aspects of grass-fed, no preservatives, no GMOs and such. The taste is OK. It's not bad at all, has a mild cocoa flavor without being overly sweet.Using the 12-16 ounces of water with only 2 scoops of this is way too much. I use 3 scoops and using 10 oz of water is a little much. It reduces the flavor profile to that of water with almost no taste at all. Kind of nasty. I'd also recommend using a shaker bottle instead of blender or trying to stir it in a cup. Stirring doesn't get it to mix well and clumps up on the sides and on the spoon. Blender use will have you rinsing it out to get the max use of the product. Shaker bottles at least keep it contained and you can start with 8-10 oz of water and add a little more just to get the rest out of the cup.If you're comparing this to just a whey protein, it's quite expensive in relation to their competitors when the nutrient profiles are similar. If you compare to a meal replacement type power, you're losing out on the vitamin and nutrients that many of them provide. So, you'd get more bang for the buck with either option, in my opinion. It boils down to whether paying the extra for the "natural" mix of this product vs. those that don't make the same claims.

Taste Review
I ordered this Protein because it was clean. Grass feed cows, no hormones and no GMO's. Its hard to find a good protien that is clean and tastes good. Well here we go..Taste with water16oz water with 2 scoops PromixNot great, not completely un drinkable but its close. The taste is kind of hard to place. I have had other proteins were I have to struggle to get it down and this one was a little above those. There is the chocolate but its from Cacao so its kind of bitter. And there is only a hint of it.Mixed in a shake1 cup unsweeteend vanilla almond milk, organic2 tbsp peanut butter1 bannana2 scoops PromixTaste was a lot better than with water. Again the chocolate taste is there but just barley. I enjoyed it most this way.Final thoughtsSome will probably hate it with water only but I imagine if you mixed it with milk or almond milk it would be just fine. If you want a clean protein get it if your more interested in taste then get something else.
