Excellent solution if you ride above 15 mph
The theory behind these things is the same as those fuzzy windscreens that you see on microphones outside. The fibers literally cause the wind to slow down by creating drag, thus reducing the noise made when air flows over your ears. Other reviewers commented about not being sure if these make a difference. There's a very easy test. Just pull the strap away from your ears when you are riding. Oh, boy! These make a big difference. I ride with Aftershokz Aeropex because riding with earbuds is just dangerous. The bone-conducting Aftershokz headphones allow me to also hear ambient noise of other riders, cars, people talking, etc.. When going fast, the wind noise is significant. The Cat-Ears are really simple and probably a tad overpriced at $15. But it's worth it for me. I'd definitely buy them again. If they were any more money, though, I'd head to a craft store to find a solution. I do want to mention that you shouldn't expect a miracle solution. They do not remove all wind noise. I got the medium ones. The thicker, larger ones probably remove more noise, but they make you look like you've got sideburns. The medium ones are barely noticeable. They look like the straps of the helmet. When you turn your head, or if the wind shifts, you can definitely notice a difference in the wind noise. And as I mentioned above, if you pull them away from your head, you can immediately hear how effective they are. They allow me to keep my headphone volume at a lower level, and I can hear more ambient noise. Cycling purists who are looking to remove every possible ounce and minimize drag probably might have a hard time adding something to increase drag. Me, I got a PR the first time I used these. So, I'm not concerned. IMHO, the tradeoff (if there is one at all) is worth it.

When properly fitted, the AirStreamz work as advertised.
Make sure before you start your ride that you properly positon the AirStreamz. It's going to be different for everyone, and it may take some time before you figure out the best positon to wear them in. I strapped them to my helmet and placed a simple desk fan on full blast about six inches away from my face. If they are in the ideal position for your face and helmet, you SHOULD hear a significant reduction in wind noise. This will be even more apparent when you get out and start riding. While I had these in the right spot at first, after a few weeks of riding, (I ride anywhere where from 15 to 40 miles a day) I noticed they weren't as effective as when I first bought them. After sliding them up and down in every possible position, I realized that the straps on my helmet had shifted out of place. So I had to take of my helmet, re-size, and try again and again until they were in the proper position. I highly recomend that once you've found a spot that works best for you, that you take a picture of your face profile for future reference. While they can be finicky as hell, once positioned properly I think its worth the effort. I can now actually hear the music while im riding, and hear cars better as well since they arent being drowned out by the wind. My only complaint is that they seem a little small. Im pretty sure the user experience could be vastly imrpoved if they were made a little bigger.

Amazing! Game changer! Works like a charm - and so simple!
Amazing! Game changer! Works like a charm - and so simple! I’m a Road bike rider and saw immediate change in the wind noise that my AirPod pro 2 would otherwise amplify. The noise is totally gone and it’s pin drop silence now. I use this with a Giro helmet and ride at about 17 mph average. It only is the wind noise gone, the silence has helped me ride faster - must be psychological. The product is expensive for what it is - but totally worth it for the benefits. I wish I could invest in the company that sells these!

They work!
These really do cut down on the wind noise while riding. Be sure to put the legs of your glasses over the helmet step for best resultss. They install easily and can be removed for washing. My old pair finally wore out after more than a decade.

If it works, but looks stupid, then it's not stupid.
Yes, it makes you look funny. No it does not block all of the wind noise. What it DOES do it block the wind on your ears and earbuds, and makes my ride more enjoyable. I use YurBuds ear buds to ride. They block hardly any noise so when I'm in traffic I simply turn off the music and can hear perfectly. However in a good head wind, or when I'm really spun up, the wind noise around my ears make it impossible to hear anything unless it's music and have it turned up. That's dangerous. However, these funky looking things do as promised and block most of the wind getting to your ears. You can hear in a good head wind. So, I can hear traffic, and the beeps from my cycling computer. The wind noise you really hear is the noise from around your helmet, face, and shoulders. That's it. These work great! Five stars.Buying a pair for each of my helmets.

Made very little difference.
Found very little reduction in wind noise after installation. May be this model is too narrow/thin.

Expensive for what it is
These things work pretty well, almost as well as some I made just by wrapping some soft foam around my helmet straps and securing them with tape. They definitely reduce the noise from wind while riding. But there’s not much to them for price. I almost returned these to rely on my more effective homemade version but I decided that I’d save the hassle of return since they are easy to take on and off and are more waterproof than my version. I added a strip of narrow weather stripping to the inside of these to make them a little fatter and more effective. Possibly I should have bought the thicker model to begin with. I like being able to hear the birds and world around better. If you’re wondering if this sort of wind deflector will make much of a difference to you, you can easily test the theory while riding by putting a finger along side your face along the helmet strap.

Easy to put on. Work well. Look goofy.
Super easy to put on. I purchased these to cut wind noise on my headphones. They work decently well, but definitely look goofy, so if you're concerned about appearances, be forewarned.

I like this product so far ( have only been out cycling on two occasions with these). It does seem to block some of the wind - I was finding that my ears ached even in warmer weather. So far so good. My only issue is the sheer simplicity of the product. I feel like I could found some Velcro strips somewhere a lot cheaper and it would’ve had the same result. That said, I’m keeping the product but am left feeling it’s a high price for some Velcro

Once you've tried there's no going back. I don't know how I tolerated the wind noise before these. Now I can hear my surroundings better, as well as new sounds such as my wheels cutting through the air (bliss!). Please continue making this great product.

Makes a big difference about 25km/h and I can now hear cars easily and listen to podcasts. Needs to fit flat against the side of your face for it to work effectively.

Hält was es verspricht. Die Optik ist gewöhnungsbedürftig aber für mich ist der Zweck wichtiger und die Wirkung ist beeindruckend.
