Excellent review book
This little book was really useful for our Dubai visit - it's got lots of interesting information as well - good for reading on the plane!Recommended!

The map/metro guide needs updating as its incorrect
Good compact guide. Used it to roughly work out what to do on my stay. So the sections on the areas were useful. What I didn't like was the metro Mashreq on the map and Waterside walk was incorrect. I used this map to find my hotel arriving from a long flight from London and then it was a hour's ride to Mashreq. My hotel Hilton Creek was not there! As the real Mashreq was on the other side of town! Nearer DMCC. So beware. This needs to ge corrected as it was totally confusing (I didn't have any Internet on my phone apart from thr hotel wifi)

Very short
Boy you don't get much lonely planet for £7.50. I'd prefer a bigger guide and higher price. There is very little information in this micro-guide for Dubai, and the City is close to London or NY for interesting things to do, so why such a tiny guide: it deserves more content.Main criticism of all lonely planet guides is that the print is so small. I have been travelling with these guides since the 1980s and as I age, my eye sight has deteriorated so much so that while I can read a newspaper or paperback unassisted, I need good light and specs to be able to interpret the micro print on lonely planet guide books.Specific criticism of this guide is that it does not cover accommodation or hotels, which is a pretty big gap.
