Great faucet!
Easy to install especially if you watch the video. I used this faucet along with the matching iBox rough in. I'm not a professional... just a DIY homeowner but this faucet is very straight forward and seems to me that it is more waterproof than a normal faucet. Any spray from the shower has no way to get behind the wall and cause problems. The faucet itself works well. I took the collar out to allow both the handheld and the rainhead to operate simultaneously. I would highly recommend this faucet to anyone building a new shower or updating an old one.

Looks and Feels Great
The handles are very solid and have a fluid, smooth feel when turning up/down. This also looks great in the shower and compliments the other Hansgrohe products. It's nice having a separate temperature and volume control so we are not having to tweak the temperature every time we get into the shower. As others said, it would be nice to have a more solid back plate, but it was really only noticeable when we held it before installation. Gets the job done and looks great at the same time. Would buy it again.

Should be a 5-star product, but too hard to adjust
I would love this item because it is exactly the design and function (separate water flow and temperature controls) that I want. However, it is simply too hard to find plumbers sufficiently skilled to install these so that they actually work properly. I have been through 5 plumbers and the temperature range never is correct. It is too hot when set to cold (meaning, it adds hot water not matter how I set it, which is bad where we live because in the summer the tap water already is very warm), but it does not get hot enough for my wife, who likes the shower water very warm, no matter how you adjust it. At some point, someone should design these things so it does not take some sort of expert master plumber who doesn't exist in the real world to adjust this control so it does what you want it to do.Maybe this product would have made sense 30 years ago when there still were people in the trades who had something resembling adequate skill. In today's world? I need to go and find those old-fashioned separate hot and cold handles and hope to heaven that the person who calls himself a "plumber" has sufficient skills to install it.

Wrong unit is pictured!
This unit only handles a single output, not two like is depicted. I’ll be sending this back

Very happy.
Love this. I read the reviews and was questioning my decision. Someone gave it a bad rating but it seemed like it was someone who was disgruntled. Everything else kept pointing in the positive direction so I went with it. Very happy. If I have to say one negative, its that I wish it were a little more traditional looking. But that's a taste preference.

good shower controls
Bought this for a new bathroom last year. We have it so it turns on either the handheld or the shower. I really like it. Plumbers installed everythingAs another reviewer mentioned, it can stick out far from the wall and still be within spec. So if you are picky you will want to make the necessary adjustments prior to install. Moen shower valves are also notorious for sticking out far from the wall if the plumber doesn't pay attention.

Their picture doesn't quite reflect reality...the knobs can end up much farther from the wall
As a temperature controller/valve combination, this works great, but you have to be careful with the installation. Our contractor installed the iBox per spec and the knobs ended up way away from the base plate. Since the iBox is plumbed in, against the studs and behind the wallboard, concrete, thin set, and stone/tile/whatever, there's no way to adjust it. The Hansgrohe installation guide actually allows the end of the knobs to be 3-3/4" from the wall surface. My picture (which may or may not be displaying) shows them at 3-3/8"...the flared base is almost 1" away from the baseplate. Worst case, they can be over 1-1/4" away and still be within spec. I really don't like the way it looks. I would have much preferred the knobs to be 1/4 - 1/2" out but I'm completely stuck...

Plastic ?
I have used Hansgrohe/Grohe in the past and can't say enough about the craftsmanship & quality. However, when I receivea rather expensive piece of plumbing with a ( brushed nickel ) finish, I would expect the faceplate to be nickel over brass , not a piece of plastic . Should be stated in the description that the faceplate is plastic. Would have paid an extra $30 or $40 for nickel over brass on the faceplate . A lot of folks will pay for quality , to get away from generic plastic crap parts , which are used extensively by most manufacturers these days. Hence , 3 out of 5 stars.
