Twinlab Pancreatin Caps, 50 ct

Great price for product. I need to add more information as I'd like to give hope to people out there that may have similar problem. About 8-9 months ago my triglycerides (trigs) were outrageous, 900+ and I don't eat terrible and get a fair amount of exercise, but apparently it's genetic. The doctor of course wanted to put me on those 'new' cholesterol drugs (Tricor, etc.) but I hated the thought of possible side effects and hearing about the awful stories from those who had. Though I tried to eat better and cut out anything and everything that would effect my trigs I didn't get any change. My doctor said I was in danger of developing pancreatitis with these levels so I started doing some research and came across this product, Pancreatin. I thought why not give it a try, so whenever I'd eat anything that could possibly effect my trig levels I'd take about 1/4 capsule (in juice) with the food/drink. 5-6 months later is when my trigs went down to 310. Last check a month ago they're down to 190, still using the Pancreatin in the same way. I am a person of faith and prayer and know that also works, but do also believe the Lord uses many avenues to bring us healing, including medications, especially more naturopathic, etc. Since my first drastic trigs level drop to 310 I've been pretty much eating many things I wouldn't before and having my glass of wine every evening, and now over 3 months later I'm at the 190 triglyceride level. One thing though, my LDL is up 20 points above normal, but for me this isn't really unusual, to fluctuate...maybe I can find a similar type product that will help with that too! Also, have to mention that my blood pressure was up to average of 160-180 and could even peak in the 190's and again didn't want to take prescription drugs, so started taking CoQ10, and after a few months it started going down and now my average is around 130's, sometimes even in the 120's and can peak close to 150 at higher stress times. All in all much better though and my doctor is impressed!

I originally bought 2 bottles for my very sick sick sick friend that just got out of the hospital and they told him he had pancreatitis BUT they didn't give him any prescription for it when they sent him home after bout 3 weeks. He ended up going back to the hospital 3 times after that first time. So when he told me what was happening to him, I did some quick research and found this product and bought and sent him 2 bottles to try.Guess what? Yep, this solved his problem. I mean he was so scared to eat 'anything' because he hurt so bad after eating anything. He was eating only bland baby foods and pablum cereals, so he was getting very weak and had lost a lot of weight because of all of this.After trying the very first pill, he had not more pain after eating. Now he is able to eat a lean hamburger and veggies and other regular foods and he is gaining his strength back. He had a doctor's appointment last week and took this twinlab's pancreatin bottle with him to show his doctor. And guess what? Yep, his doctor said that was exactly what he needed! So the doctor wrote him a prescription for the exact same thing but with a different name. I guess his insurance pays for it. So he is going to compare this with his prescription but I 'm willing to bet that this product is every bit as good as what the doc prescribed! I mean he went from excruciating pains in his stomach after eating to no pain at all after the first pill of this stuff! I just ordered a bottle for myself...just in case this ever happens to me! I am so happy I found this to help my friend get his life back!

I have an eternally voracious 14 year old basset hound who had a painful bout of pancreatitis last year. I worked in animal hospitals for years, so I already knew to avoid feeding him fatty food or treats, especially as he ages & overall organ function declines. After he received subcutaneous fluids & anti-nausea meds at the vet, he had to eat tiny, frequent meals of a prescription diet to get the inflammation down. I added one capsule of these enzymes to his food once daily for those first few weeks, and it seemed to help. Eventually we discontinued the enzymes, and he was fine for a few months. Then he scared us by vomiting continuously one night while we were asleep.At the first sign of vomiting I usually give a tablet of plain Pepcid and either skip the next meal, or feed 1/2 the normal amount. I did that again, and also added a capsule of these enzymes to both of his daily meals for a few days. The vomiting stopped right away (yay!), and he showed no signs of nausea or abdominal discomfort (drooling, lack of appetite, restlessness, being unable to get comfortable in his usual resting spots, etc.).We now give this to him daily along with his usual meds & supplements (he has hypothyroidism & osteoarthritis). It's nice to have something that helps him feel better and prevents expensive emergency vet visits.Important note: if your dog is vomiting, having diarrhea, or ESPECIALLY experiencing both, please contact a veterinarian. Pancreatitis is extremely painful and can be a life-threatening emergency. I only give my dog supplements approved by his veterinarian. Please consult your pet's vet before giving them any supplements or other substance, especially if they are on medication. A quick phone call just to be safe can prevent a painful, expensive emergency or even save a pet's life!
