False advertizing!
False advertizing! Says 2 yr protection plan, because they cover surge protection during the first year of the manufacturer's warranty. After logging into the Assurant website, this plan is labeled, "Assurant 360º 1-Year Personal Care Extended Protection Plan".

Good insurance, straightforward process
They have minor problems with registration on their site - emails are classified by Google as Spam, and it took a while to receive a confirmation email after I initially signed up. However once registered I was able to file a claim and received Amazon gift card within couple hours. I like how it works - hope it will work the same way in future.

Warranty honored without grief or stupid questioning/grilling over details. Nice for a change.
Bought this for an Amazon Fire TV. Turns out that I get a rare "I win" on taking the extended warranty on a product. The Fire unit/box apparently cooked itself up and they are sending a new one.
