I get compliments on my long, wavy naturally silver hair nearly every time I go out in public. My secret is that I do almost nothing to it. I protect it in lots of ways, and one way is to not use shampoo or hair products that damage hair or require shampoo to remove them. I never use heat on my hair and use silk-lined hats and pillowcases. I also keep my hair out of the sun. I won't even go to a hair salon as every time I do I have to grow out my hair to get its silky condition back. I literally cut my hair every few months in five minutes using cheap hair cutting scissors and instructions from TikTok for a wolf cut. Easiest haircut ever and I can now put it on top of my head without pain or strays. So, you see how I do what is easy, cheap, and very effective.So, of course, I use what protects my hair the most. My only cost for my luxurious hair are silk-lined hats and pillowcases, a pair of cheap hair-cutting scissors (and thinning sheers used very little), and my monthly subscription for this. I use a big handful to massage into my scalp for several minutes to get it very clean, work it through the rest of my long, thick hair, and then rinse it clean with lukewarm water, saturating the hair again to condition for several minutes to an hour if I'm going to also take a bath. Then, I only rinse out about half of it as my natural silver will be too dry and frizzy if I rinse it all out. I let it dry naturally with very little handling and no styling other than running my fingers through the roots with my hair upside down. It ends up soft, shiny, and very natural looking. Some people can't believe I didn't pay hundreds at a salon and they are surprised I don't use styling products to shine it up. I only have to do this every several days unless I'm camping or working out in a hot gym.The key is to never expose your hair to heat or the sun or anything rough or rigorous brushing. I barely brush my hair, mostly just the very top, and I only comb it with a wide-toothed comb when saturated by this conditioner before rinsing half out.This is the best kept secret for women with natural silver hair on a budget and who don't fuss but still want gorgeous hair. Now it works for me. I'll tell you that I'm half white and half Hispanic, so I've had very thick, healthy glossy slightly wavy hair all my life, but dying it was destroying it. So, when I stopped damaging it with dye that never looked great anyway, I started protecting it in other ways. It's thinner but not thin and I have cut it in a layered style, so that allows room for corkscrew curls to form except at the top. This cowash is light enough to not weigh it down or feel greasy but moisturizing enough to leave my hair soft and shiny when used as I've described. I NEVER use anything else. This is much more affordable on Amazon than at my local big box store. As long as it stays that way, I'll keep my subscription and use gobs everytime I wash my hair. I use so much I had to get a rubber nonslip mat for my shower. Well worth it, so add that to my hair costs. I'm still spending far less than most women on my hair and I get compliments nearly every time I go out in public.

Probably wasting my time writing this. This is a great product, exactly like it's former incarnation before it was renamed and Pantene marketing shifted to "natural" hair. I've depended on this product for years in both presentations. Left my hair clean, healthy, soft, and my curls totally manageable without heavy weigh down. The last time I purchased it sold by Amazon it was 6 bux. It did go up a couple more times by a dollar or so. But, now that it's been discontinued by the manufacturer, you can only find it in online marketplaces from third party sellers, and ebay at approximately 30 bux a pop. Pantene should themselves maintain a discontinued product inventory that its loyal customers could purchase directly until it is exhausted, rather than let us be held hostage at outrageous prices by these sellers.

My husband has extremely thick, dry and long hair. He was worse than my 7 yr old when it came to tangles and has actually broke brushes trying to tame his man mane.I got this because I was tired of spending big $ on salon brands to end up with same outcome.THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!!!!Not only did the cowash completely detangle his hair but it smells beautifully and left his hair soft and tangle free. After using cowash we finished as usual and instead of having to wash again in 3 to 4 days he was able to go 2 whole weeks without an itchy scalp or dandruff.I also used it on the rest of the family and it was even great for me and the kids fine hair the only difference in our results' was that my kids didn't need any kind of conditioner after using.We actually have to use less product per wash and since we dont wash as often we are actually saving a lot of $ and are getting best results.I ended up purchasing the entire line and so far have been equally impressed with the detangling milk and hair butter.I just pray that pantene doesn't discontinue because that's usually what happens when I finally find what works.

Pantene's Deep Hydrating Pro-V Gold Series Co-wash was introduced to me in a sample pack of beauty products. I had used co-wash products by other manufacturers and found that many of them left my hair oily and/or my scalp itchy. Despite this, I did use the sample and found the product did not do either one of those things so I bought some.What I like about this product...1. It smells good.2. It's just the right balance between thick and thin in terms of consistency, making it easy to disperse through my hair and rub onto my scalp and rinse out.3. The co-wash left my hair hydrated without being oily.4. The price of this product is affordable for all.What I wish was better...The packaging is a flip-top bottle which works OK, but it seemed that the item I received had less product than expected in it and I had to squeeze the bottle which produced air in the container. When the vacuum released, the product was released from the bottle causing waste.I have thick, curly Caucasian hair that is about 40% gray. I am growing out my natural hair after years of processing it with color, and I'm about halfway to fully transitioning to my natural hair. I alternate between co-wash and regular moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, with a deep conditioner once a week.For now, this is my co-wash of choice as it's non-irritating to my scalp, does not leave an oily feel to my hair and it's at a price that I can afford. The co-wash smells good, rinses cleanly and while my hair doesn't feel super-hydrated after using it, it's not dry either.Perhaps with extended use, the deep hydration in the name may actually come to pass, but for now, it's just a really good product that I would recommend to anyone who has curls, waves or just dry normal to coarse textured hair who want more moisture and clean hair.
