PumpSaver Plus 233P-1.5-ENCL SymCom Low Yield Water Well Pump Protection MADE IN USA

So when I bought this home I’m living in now 6 years ago - I got a screaming deal on the home because the owners knew that the well was low yield and kept running dry on them. Thinking I would have to drill a new well - I offered much less than the market value and they accepted.First thing I tried was to install a 300 gallon cistern and one of these Pump Savers. Figured that was a lot less than drilling a new well since water in this area is very sketchy to find. Worth a shot.6 years later…my first solution turns out to still be the final solution. Still haven’t had to drill a new well. Sure, the well may only run about 5-10 minutes before the Pump Saver shuts it down - but I have it set to give the well an hour to recharge and repeat the process. This keeps my cistern full at all times. Even when we have guests and our water usage goes up.Works so good I got greedy a couple years ago and bought a 2nd one. Previous owners had drilled a 2nd well that turned out to be even worse than the one we are currently using so it sat abandoned. I reactivated that old well with a pump saver and a huge 5000 gallon water tank. Use this in the summer strictly for outdoor irrigation. Keeps my yard and flowers beautiful all summer long. Both Pump Savers are still doing their job years later.My only complaint is minor - the indicator lights on the front are really hard to see unless you are looking straight on at them. View them at even the slightest angle and you cannot see if they are even lit or not. But hey….for the money these things have saved me….I’m not going to complain.Highly recommend

Easy to hook up and so far does the job. It looks much better and is more well made than a cheaper one I bought from another company. I will follow up once my sprinkler system kicks on in the late spring if there are any problems with my well pump but so far so good.UPDATE: So my sprinkler system has been running for a week and this thing has successfully shut down my well pump after my pressure dropped under 30 PSI when my well was starting to dry out. I have a weak well and occassionally it can't supply the water necessary after I run 4-5 zones on my sprinkler system if I have also been using a lot of water around the house(shower, dishwasher, laundry, etc...). I used to have to hurry up and go into my basement to manually kill the power to the well pump before my pump overheated by running dry but now this thing automatically shuts it down for 50 minutes so my well can recover. Great product. I should bought one years ago after blowing thru two pumps LOL.

I installed this last year after replacing two pumps that dry ran and it has kept me from having any issues.

We've only had this installed for a few weeks, and it has already saved our new pump twice. Its very nice that it has a timer and will start the pump up again after a designated amount of time.

This was easy enough to install. I like the concept of operation, and setting the parameters to prevent a deadhead. I hope some of the reviews written earlier are isolated instances. I bought a protection policy because of it.These types of controls are important for well owners who have slow yield wells. Otherwise $2000.00-$5000.00 pump replacements would become far too habitual.
