Is this model better than the 3100 in every way?

It works better and holds a charge longer using a lithium Ion battery! The only thing I dont like that it doesnt come with a stand, like the 3100 did!

The body groomer is fully water-resistant and includes safety features so that it will not accidently run while plugged-in. Water resistance also makes cleaning easy, simply rinse it clean when you've finished.

Where is the manual? The massive foldout that came in the box, not the leaflet Philips posts on their website as a "manual".

The "massive foldout" IS the manual. Perhaps you were expecting a bound, hardcover book that would cost more than the product.
