Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass® High Temperature Plain Pelton Spatula, Grey

Great spatula, I was actually looking for a nonstick fish turner instead to be used with my OXO skillet but couldn't find one until I decided to try this one out, absolutely love this spatula, very sturdy yet gently on my nonstick skillets and griddle. I can make easy fried rice on my griddle, fajitas, and a large breakfast for 5 no problem, complete with bacon, pankakes and eggs.

This is a great, easy to use, sturdy spatula. It is almost exactly the right size for most uses. Works good for over easy eggs or for scrambling eggs. This replaces a "perfect" Farberware which finally broke after about 20+ years, Before I threw it away I measured it as it was the perfect size for me. This Matfer spatula is nearly identical yet different in some ways. The Matfer is "stiffer", yet has some springiness in the bottom end, the handle end is very stiff (that is a good thing), and it cleans easily in the dishwasher, one of my priorities. It may not be for everyone, but I would buy again.

I love these! I bought one about 3 years ago and it is a great product! Unlike cheap spatulas that say flexible, or safe for nonstick pans, this one WORKS! The cheap ones are fine for a few days until the heat gets to them. Then they invariably bend which makes picking things up with them nigh unto impossible. Also, my dad likes to rest them on the side of the pan (while it is 400 or more degrees). Other spatulas melt from this but this one hasn't. I bought this one so we could throw away the other 4 or 5 spatulas that melted or bent and are now trash. We ended up keeping one, but now we have 2 good ones that are used all the time and one that hides in the drawer hoping it isn't exposed to any heat over 100 degrees (anything from a cooking surface) . The new one is just as good as the old one and is worth the somewhat steep price tag ( 12 or 15 I think) By the way, these are not flexible and are dense enough material to be sharpened if you want. The edge is good and will not deform for a good while.

I am very happy with the Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass® High Temperature Plain Pelton Spatula so far. In the last few years, I have developed a sensitivity for the soap residue that tends to stick to silicone, so I was looking for a spatula that was not silicone and also would not scratch my pans. This Exoglass spatula works well for this purpose. I also like its rigidity, which is similar to my stainless steel spatulas. The one thing little thing that I don't love is that it's a little too big for a 8" skillet, but I can't find it in a smaller size. But for my larger frying pans and for my baking sheets, this is a great find!

Perfect match for my cooking style, just a little skinny for big pancakes…. Love the simplicity and ease of cleanup. The minimalist design is great for me. Got another Made brand with several others and chose this one.

This is a wonderful spatula. I love Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass spatulas. I own several. I use them for my gold All-Clad bakeware and my Le Creuset Dutch oven. Feels great in your hand. IT IS NOT FLIMSY!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CHEAP IMITATIONS. I just wish Matfer Bourgeat made a wider variety of Exoglass implements. HINT! MATFER BOURGEAT, ARE YOU LISTENING???? MAKE A WIDER VARIETY OF EXOGLASS IMPLEMENTS, PLEASE.

Hasn't melted. Used daily for 6 months now. Does not bend when hot either, and is nice and sturdy. Super minimalist and easy to clean. Also not made in China so automatic five stars.

This is one of my favorite spatulas for turning foods like hamburgers. It easily gets under the foods and doesn't stick to them. I also like that it is all one piece so there is no place for food particles to hide. I have other spatulas that the ends eventually got rough and foods stuck to them. I haven't had that problem with this spatula. Update 03/18/15 I find that I this spatula is becoming my "go-to" spatula for most jobs. It is flexible enough to get under foods in a pan with high sides, and stiff enough that the food doesn't weigh it down and fall off. It also has a good length so that it can be used to pick up fish fillets. Yet I can still use it to individually turn eggs when I cook as many as 9 in a pan. Better yet, it gets under the eggs and they don't stick to it. I would highly recommend this spatula.

Large et solide

Although the product description says the colour is green, the picture and the actual item I received was dark grey. This was actually the one I wanted so I was happy with that outcome. The spatula itself is heavier than I thought it would be but I hope this means it will last a long time. I've been using the Matfer fish spatula for years and it's been amazing so I thought to give this one a try. So far so good.

Work well pleased I bought it. Would recommend to others.

Love this product glad it's available through Amazon not available locally this is a very high-end french commercial Kitchen manufacture and their product is more expensive but really worth it It's a special food grade plastic
