Get that glass ready because its about to get tipped overI love dragon quest games and I'm pretty fond of Koei Tecmo warriors style games as well (though they can get repetitive in nature). Dragon quest heroes is a ton of fun, with so much content you'll be playing for many hour's, well into the night, surprisingly good voice work and fantastic gameplay that combine the best of warriors games and the best of dragon quest games, I find it hard to put this game down.Story: Its a dragon quest story, be the hero save the world, but the delivery is awesome, its not something your not used to if you've played a DQ game, but its done as well as you'd need it to be to get your jollies off.Graphics: This game looks fantastic, like a Pixar movie, the game runs at a smooth 60FPS on most occasions, the colorful animations and cool equipment keep everything sparkly and fresh throughout your playtime.Sound: Awesome it's dragon quest sounds, all of the best ones, and the voice work is surprisingly good.Gameplay: Awesome and smooth real time combat, tons of abilities to master and 999 hit combos to break the backs of your enemies.there's so much content, randomly generated dungeons to level up in, and a huge world to walk about.Overall: Don't judge this game based on how you feel about warriors games, if your bored with that franchise but did love it at one point, this game takes the best part of warriors games and inserts it into an already fantastic RPG, if you haven't played DQH2 yet then try the demo, if your thinking about getting it, do yourself a favor and pick it up, so when the time comes for a DQH3 to be released we in the west can get our grubby little mitts on it.Sincerely half full reviews.

A great Warriors-style game based in the Dragon Quest universe
I'm a sucker for Dynasty Warriors-style games, so this hit the sweet spot for me before I even put it in the Playstation. On the Dragon Quest side, I've only played 2 of them (1 and 10...yeah, I'm that old), but the basics are all there. the monster design hasn't changed since the beginning, and that's a good thing. The art has just gotten better with every generation, so that now it looks like a cartoon that you can run circles in and look at every side of the monsters while they try to eat you. There are quests, and bounties, and all the great things that you can do in a Warriors game, plus the humor and overall weirdness of a Dragon Quest. If you're steeped in the lore of the DQ games, there will be plenty here for you, both in terms of Easter eggs and playable characters. There's something for everyone, as long as everyone loves something here :)

pretty decent
the game is pretty good, its a dungeon/map crawler rpg, but its got characters from previous games that just keep making you want to see whos next. the battle system is pretty easy and quick to learn while the attacks you gain are fun but slow to obtain after a while. multiplayer might be the biggest cheese about this game, while i though and many others though you would be able to just play with others through the story that is not the case. you can play certain maps you find with others and ive only found one, nearing lv 20 now and that map is only lv3. you can call for help and play important story missions with random people that you can choose to invite but often the connection seems to disconnect making their charcters become AI controlled. i still find myself playing this game often though regardless of that and free updates with more storylines are coming for this month and june

More than just hack and slash
The first dragon quest heros was great! If you ever played hyrule warriors, this game mixes its own personality in the muso fighting style from the music to the graphics and the way combat is handled. There are a few new things in this one. First thing is that it seems a lot more bigger and feels more of an actual RPG than ever before. You can acualy run this time. Same as the last one, there are the boy and the girl that you choose from the start and you can't remove him/her from the party once a choice has been made. To make it up though, your main character this time around can acually use different wepons, therfore having different fighting styles.... but every class you change starts at level one. New and old characters return in this installment. They are even adding pretty much all the previous heros from the last dragon quest to this one with a patch with the ones that were already pretty much in the game anyhow. More bigger bosses in this one, and harder. Overall must buy, you can get 30+ hours easy.

Worth the time/money
A solid game. I've yet to encounter any technical issues, and the frame rate hasn't lagged even with a full screen of enemies and combos going off. The music is a bit repetitive, but not any more or less than previous DQ titles. The colors and texturing were very well done. There is a lot packed into the game for a completionist. While it would be possible to achieve the platinum trophy in one go, the NG+ makes doing so much easier. Expect to put around 150-200 hours into the game if you want to master it. With the two main characters being customizable, there is no wrong way to play. The only disappointment was the scale of the battles. I was hoping for a little more Dynasty Warriors (hour long battles, bigger hordes). Couch co-op would have been fun as well.

Mash away!
This is a fun little RPG. An overload of enemies on screen with any slow down. It combines old school game play with new school graphics. I spent 12 hours straight playing just leveling up and gathering material. It's a must for any RPG fanatic. It gives you an option for online play, but I'm a solo type of guy, so I haven't found the need for this just yet. Dragon Quest along with Phantasy Star I II II and Miracle Warriors were some of my first ever RPGs back in the day, and playing this brought back a lot of memories.

Excellent gameplay! Similar to Hyrule Warriors!
I was looking for a game to play after finishing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. I absolutely loved that game! This is really fun as well! Love the art style. Fun gameplay. Combat makes this easy to pick up and play! This is really enjoyable!
