Does what it says
Haven't found anything that matches the Rain-X product from years ago, but this one is the best that I've come across. It does a good job of cleaning the windshield, and the coating has lasted much longer than other products I've tried.

Nope!!!!
I had an awful experience with this product. I felt I followed the directions well, but the product left my windshield covered is massive streaks to the point of not being able to see out of the window well. I tried to get the streaking off, even took my to a car wash. Nothing, still the original horrible streaking. Came home and spent two hours cleaning the windshield. Finally, found that Softscrub removed the mess. I will NEVER purchase Rain X again. All this being said, it was just my personal experience and I must factor in any mistakes that I could have made. But, still NEVER again.

No haze if you buff with a clean dry cloth.
I purchased CLR to remove nasty buildup on my shower glass doors. First, I restored the shower doors with CLR with a non-scratch pad and then rinsed them thoroughly with water. After drying the doors, I sprayed Rain-X Cerami-X Glass Cleaner + Water Repellent, directly onto the glass and worked it in with a microfiber cloth until it hazed over. Finally, I buffed the haze off with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. The results were astonishing! The doors look better than when they were new. When I showered, the doors repelled water exceptionally well. While I was at it, I also cleaned the bathroom mirrors using just Rain-X Cerami-X Glass Cleaner + Water Repellent and buffed off the haze with a clean microfiber cloth to a diamond-like shine. Once again, the results were astonishing and even better than when they were new.Hint: To really get the full effect also do the outer side of the shower glass doors, no CLR. Just spray, wipe and buff with a clean cloth.Hint 2: Make sure the cloths you are using were not washed and/or dried using clothes fabric softener, as this leaves an oily residue. It will make your hard work, look a bit swirled at the end.

Okay as a Regular Cleaner - Can't Replace the OG Bottle
This stuff is fine. It does a pretty good job cleaning windows, and does leave a decent hydrophobic coating, but nothing can replace the OG Rain-X in the little bottle you rub on with a cloth. That stuff will always be the best, but this does a pretty nice job as a cleaner for day-to-day use to just help keep the windows extra bead-y.I still prefer Sprayway glass cleaner as my go-to glass cleaner and that stuff can be used on any EVERYTHING. This is nice to throw into the mix to just keep the coating up but like I said, it won't fully replace the Rain-X in the small bottle we all know and love. Maybe after a few applications, this thing will get there. As others have said, it can leave behind a bit of a haze that's tough to buff out. I've noticed it on some windows, and not on others, which is odd, but with a little work, you get there. At that point, the original Rain-X is probably the same amount of work and yields a better result. My assumption is we're all looking to buy this because the application seemed easier, and while that is SOMETIMES the case, it doesn't work quite as well and can at times be the same or equal work to buff out.TL;DR - it's fine. It doesn't compare to the Rain-X Original we all know and love, but does a decent job cleaning windows, can help to maintain and already-applied hydrophobic coating, and I imagine after a number of times using this, you'll get a decent coating with this product alone.

So many uses!
Sure, it's great for the truck, but it's also amazing for bathroom mirrors. Thicker than windex, and smells better too!
