These worked perfectly and saved me a lot of money. The tabs on the back were easily pulled back with a nail file. I would NOT use my fingers for this, it will hurt. The nail file made quick work of all of the tabs and I even could use it to push them back in place. You will need a safe way to hold your diploma in place while putting the backing back on. I used gummed paper hinge tape I had from a previous project. I guess since you are unlikely to ever remove it, maybe using regular tape isn’t so bad! I just wondered if it had to be acid-free for preservation.

Finally decided to buy a frame for my degree and I’m so glad I chose this one! It looks amazing !!

I noticed in the description that the frame said “burgundy” but I didn’t see it in the photo. It looked black on black, which is what I wanted. When it arrived I saw the faint red in the crevices. I honestly don’t mind because my school colors have red in it, so I was fine with the highlight. It’s a very nice frame for the price point. I love the black and gold elements but be aware that there is some red as well. I honestly love it.
