Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Lexmark 100XL Ink S305 S605 S405 Pro901 Pro905 (1 Cyan 1 Magenta 1 Yellow) 3 color Pack

This ink clogged the printhead within about a month of installing. I installed only the cyan. The yellow and magenta inks being used in my printer are Lexmark brand. The cyan nozzle clogged, while the others which are using Lexmark ink are fine. The status has not changed in 8 months since installing the ink - cyan print nozzle is still the only one that is clogged; the Lexmark brand yellow and magenta inks are still flowing fine. Since Lexmark no longer makes printheads for this machine, and cleaning it has not worked, I can no longer print in color with this machine. UPDATE: I have found a replacement printhead on Amazon for $118. That's what using this ink has cost me.

When I first switched out the Lexmark ink that I originally had and replaced with these, my printer only printed in black ink not in color. I called the number on my printer and told them that this was happening. Lexmark said it (the not printing in color) was an issue with my printer Prevail 705. They sent me a new printhead (free) with 4 packs of ink to make up for the ones I finished trying to perform "clean printhead".... and they also emailed me an update I had to perform for the new printhead. After all of this....I used this ink in my printer and it worked great!!! I am a kindergarten teacher and believe me when I say....I had TONS of printing to do!!!! The quality is the same as the Lexmark ink. I still have ink left...but I am already planning to order me some more :)

I'd previously purchased from this vendor their black only ink cartridges for my Lexmark S405 and it worked very well. This time I purchased the color ink cartridges it "barely" works now.At first these ink cartridges would not print at all and I needed to get some work done so I purchased a new HP printer, however, the HP doesn't have a fax component and the Lexmark (I brought these ink cartridges for does), so I used the Lexmark to fax and the HP to print and it's worked out o.k. for now.The confirmation page from the Lexmark was o.k., it was readable but not something you'd send to people unless it was absolutely necessary.

If you own an S305 or one of its relatives you already know that it's a horrible printer that's too heavy to throw at the wall, which is why you probably still have it. Until that happy day when you get a better-quality machine, don't compound your misery by buying these off-brand ink cartridges. We got two sets. The first one sometimes printed in color but very poorly and sometimes didn't print in color at all. The second set actually does print in color poorly all the time so I guess that's an upgrade. Also, they leak when being installed.

Best price around. They seem to be working fine on the first day. I will try to remember to check back to update in a few weeks, but if I don't then you can assume I am _not_ upset!UPDATE: cyan stopped working; magenta stopped working; calls to Lexmark support provide upgraded firmware and still inks don't work. Replaced with different re-manufactured cartridges that do work - temporarily! Lexmark is sending me OEM replacements hopefully to correct. Sorry that this printer (Lexmark Platinum Pro 905) seems to require the expensive OEM cartridges. :-( Hope I haven't ruined the printhead!

My printer is the Lexmark Prospect Pro205. The first cartridge I used from this purchase was cyan, and it worked fine for a while. Then the printer started spewing out blue ink everywhere. I tried cleaning and deep cleaning, but it just printed blue everywhere. Today, I bought a Lexmark Cyan cartridge, did a deep clean and everything is fine. Sadly, it's been over 2 months since the purchase so I can't return them to Amazon. If you're going to try this, wait until a cartridge is needed and get some usage right away - so you can return if it doesn't work with your unit.

So this has saved me money and works perfectly with my Lexmark Pro 900. I have not experienced the mess everyone is referring to. I may buy more and stock up. I am also in shock that I have been paying so much for ink when there was a feasible alternative right here. The issue is that with printers that require numerous cartridges based on color, ink and printing become very expensive. This product has cut that cost. I am going to keep track to see how long it lasts. I over used it this month for color printing stuff for a project but will monitor to see what the lifespan is.

These generic cartridges work perfectly if you follow the instructions to carefully scratch off a small carbon strip so you can fool the Lexmark into using them. Also do not allow Lexmark to make automatic downloads of their codes which will then knock off non Lexmark products. I used to refill cartridges with bulk ink but sometimes they would work and sometimes not. These generic cartridges are worth the small price without the hassle of refilling.
