Juris Types: Learning Law Through Self-Understanding

Great insight for yourself for law school!
This book was recommended to me by the author of "1L Of A Ride" which is another great pre-law school book you should consider reading. This book is great because it gives you an opportunity to evaluate yourself. If you have ever taken a Myers-Briggs Personality Test, that is basically what this book is based on. I think it is a great way to look at yourself and the people around you. It also helps you build strategies to do well with studying, test taking, and other things.

Should have had a CD with it.
My daughter is in law school - it's a very tough course. The premise of this book is that different personality types can have different study styles and if you can identify that style, it may make it easier to study. The book is well written and a fairly easy read. It says on the back cover that it comes with a CD, which is why I bought it new. Apparently new does not include a CD. If you don't care about the CD (which I do) save some money and buy this used.

One of the Best Law School Prep Books
This is a great book to read to discover what things you need to focus on in law school. So, for example, based on my personality type, I will need to focus on being organized and collecting information (paying attention to details). These are things that resonate as being true, but I wouldn't have thought about them beforehand. I think this is one of the best things you can read as you prepare for law school.
