I check all the four. All working. Will put them to the test with batteries, solar charging, and USB. I know it's not a reading lamp. Described as suitable for camping, outdoor use etc. so it can't do both things, bright light for the family out camping and dim enough for focused reading. For me this is most handy when light is required at a moment's notice, and at electricity down time, at camp, at the shed One light for one room will be adequate than several reading lamps together.Update - the light next to the type c port shows red when the unit is being charged, either solar / sun or plugged in, and graded too. When using the type a port to charge another device, e.g. phone, the type-c light turns green - I don't know whether this means charging or fully charged.

These have been brilliant. Keep them near the van windows and they’re always ready to use. Erm bright light and last ages. Easy to hang, magnets are strong and great value.

Bought these rechargeable lanterns as a standby in case of power cuts (having just had first one of the winter this week!).All four worked fine out of the box and are all now sitting on a sunny windowsill to keep topped up at all times - a big selling point for something we'll hopefully use infrequently. Obviously with a large capacity battery it will take a long time to fully charge on solar alone (quotes up to 20hrs solar charging for about 10-12 h lighting) so it might not be totally self sufficient for a long camping trip, but that’s the limitations of small solar units.The light itself is very bright. The overall lamp size is slightly larger than a tin of beans when closed and a bit longer when opened. Hanging loop, magnets (or can just stand on its base) covers all options.Overall seems perfect for my use. And my daughter has already swiped one for this weekend’s scout camp!

Great little pair of lanterns. The led lasts for ages. Easy to pull up and down to control amount of light.Hooks work well and the light is enough to illuminate a big family sized tent. The pair is also a good deal.

No issue with the lanterns, good weight, bright light, I use in the garage (as no light switch) , Also came in handy when the plumber, changed my bath taps, as a tight dark space.!!

I like that the lights came with Duracell batteries instead of some cheap off brand that leaks. they are very bright and i like the magnets and hook on the bottom. and the magnets are strong enough to hold it horizonal. nice lights at a nice price, and with Duracell batteries.
