BLACKHAWK Mid-Ride Duty Belt Loop with Duty Holster Screws

There are a few pros and cons with this, especially if your wearing a duty belt all day. Pros: Able to cover the firearm with arm easily Getting in and out of vehicle was easier More comfortable sitting in vehicle Easier to buckle and unbuckle, firearm not in the way. Closer to the body, I felt it was more secure. Alittle practice my draw was faster. Cons: Less surface area did create some hot spots on my hip (took some getting used to) Jacket and winter clothing did get in the way of the thumb release of the holster. Something that might happen if you wear a bulkey vest. At the end of the day this was neither more or less comfortable then the low ride that comes with the holster. After using it for awhile I could probably do with or with out it. It does ride the weapon higher (I liked). This isn't changing your life drastically. Its prime you can try it and always return it if you dont like it.

Had the original drop down and it kept hitting my seat and pushing my belt up. Made my leg go numb. Bought the high mount and hit all my gear on my vest. This one is perfect, PERFECT. Clears my seat by a half inch and my gear by a couple inches.

I purchased the Mid-Ride duty belt loop to alter my level 3 Blackhawk Serpa duty holster. The one that came with my holster when I bought it hung too low and I was unable to buckle my seat belt in my squad car. This add on was a perfect fit and it raised the holster higher on my hip. It is really easy to install. All you need is a Phillips screw driver, loosen the three screws on the factory belt loop and replace it with the mid ride belt loop. To install on your duty belt, you need to loosen the two screws on the back and place it on the belt. Once on your duty belt, tighten the two screws and the holster stays in place and does not budge. Just a warning, be very careful when removing the three holster screws. The female sleeve will tend to loosen also and the entire assembly begins to rotate making it very hard to remove. As another poster said, "It's best to pry the arms outward as you loosen the screw. When installing on your Duty Belt, tighten slowly until you feel significant resistance or then again, you will begin to rotate the entire assembly making disassembly difficult." This was a great addition to my duty holster.

Gave it 5 stars because it may work with other Blackhawk holster, but it isn't really designed to work with the Omnivore. The supplied screws are the wrong size for the Omnivore. 2 of the Omnivore screws will work, but one hole requires a longer screw. Not a big deal, but the hanger does not hold the holster firm enough to keep from flexing during the draw. Because of the design of the holster, this will prevent a clean draw. Ended up using the folding belt mount that Blackhawk sells that is very similar to a Tek-Mount.

After reading a couple of the previous reviews, I decided to purchase just one to try it out. I am so glad I did. It's not too low or too high. It's perfectly centered. I can still draw my weapon with ease but the best part is that it allows me to be much more comfortable while driving! That alone makes it a great buy. If you're a guy with a lot around the mid section, you might want to stick with the "Low Ride" adapter that comes standard with Blackhawk Duty Holsters. The "High Ride" and the "Mid Ride" adapters, bring the holster closer to your body, so you will definitely feel it when you move. Very easy to install. You just need a phillips screw driver. CAUTION: The screws that come with the adapter have a fastener locking compound(green) already on them, so be careful when removing them to install the adapter on your belt. What tends to happen is that while unscrewing the fasteners, the female end will loosen from the housing and the entire assembly (screw and female sleeve) will begin to rotate making it very difficult to disconnect. It's best to pry the arms outward as you loosen the screw. When installing on your Duty Belt, tighten slowly until you feel significant resistance or then again, you will begin to rotate the entire assembly making disassembly difficult. This item is highly recommended!

My Blackhawk T series, for Gen 5 Glock 22, with MOS is slightly long due to red dot sight and TL-1 light I have on it. This allowed me to raise it up just a bit so now in my personal vehicle it isn't hitting the car seat as commuting to/from work. Perfect hole allignment, includes screws, and allows a canted tilt forward or back if desired.

Item arrived on time and fit my holster well. I gave 3 stars because the screws which attach it to the belt were missing. It looks as if they were stapled in the package with some sort of plastic bag at one time but they were gone. Not there. Missing. I had to go to the hardware store and buy machine bolts and nuts which are silver and clash with the black holster. Otherwise, everything fit and performs as expected.

The attachment worked as expected and is of high quality.
