Hnady, well made and does the job
I just golf for fun and I never even thought about the grooves on the raquets. (just joking I know they’re clubs). When I saw this I said to myself: Wow this could make a difference! I mean I’m using hand me down clubs from my grandfather. Don’t get me wrong they’re fine clubs, he was a really good golfer, and I did invest in a modern putter. So I was kicking myself for never even considering the impact those ridges on my clubs make on distance and accuracy. Anyway I hopped right on it and used the tool on all of them. The tool itself works great, and got the clubs looking very refreshed. The tool held up well and was not noticeably duller ever after using it on all my clubs, except the new putter. Now I’d like to say that as soon as I hit the course my scores, distance, and accuracy took a dramatic turn for the better; I’d like to say that, but I can’t. I still suck. But at least now I know it’s not the clubs fault.Anyway, if you’re looking for a quality instrument to clean out and sharpen your grooves this is a great tool for the job. It will last and it easy to use, and store.

Does what it says it does, but beware secondary effects
The three-star rating speaks less to the quality and effectiveness of the tool than to other aspects of its use. I tried it out on an old wedge, and yes, it does sharpen the grooves, but since most irons and wedges are protected with some type of plating, you are certain to get rust showing up on clubs you have worked on with this device. In addition, since the configuration of the grooves on irons and wedges is mandated by the USGA, you run the risk of rendering your clubs out of spec and illegal for USGA play. You may say, “Well, I don’t play in USGA competitions, so that doesn’t matter.”, but the rules apply to rounds that are counted toward your handicap rating for club competitions, etc.

Handy tool
I use this on my practice clubs for re-grooving and extending the life of my old clubs. I don’t use it on my playing clubs because it takes off the protective coating and causes rust. The tool is only about 5 ½” long and comes in a clear plastic tub for storage. The top is in the shape of a star and has 3 cutter heads for “U” grooves and 3 of the cutter heads for “V” grooves. It is a light, handy little tool that is easy to toss into the golf bag and have on hand when needed. Be sure to keep it in the tube that it comes in or the sharp cutter heads will tear your bag up. I’m not sure where it’s made. . . though probably China. . . . so it’s a bit expensive for what it is.

awkward
think this just tries to be too much. There are 6 different cutters, are the really 6 types of grooves in clubs? longer handle would be easier to use, cutters a bit too close together, but does the job

Probably helps, definitely can't hurt
I feel like it works? Don't use it on anything with a chrome (is other) finish as the club will likely rust. I know Rick Shiels did a YouTube video on if these work. Watch that and decide for yourself.

Didnt seem to work
Used the tool as directed in the instructions seemed the tool dulled before making any difference to the grooves. The company sent me a refund but I would have rather the tool worked, might look into another tool maybe mine was just defective.

Sharp
Nice sharpener. Re-did my wedges and had noticeable differences right away. Good size and can stay in a small pocket in the bag for use throughout the season
