I used a different system for years until the batteries for the device could no longer be found. This device works well. There was an adjustment period of a tone vs a vibration but that is not the device's fault. If you train dogs w/E-collars this one works. I do wish there was a way to be able to cut 3" from the collar's end without exposing the wires.

These collars and training set up are effective.Use:One Chihuahua, to train to stay in the yardTwo large breed muts, for barking at everything that goes by our fence.Pros: I love the vibrating feature! I have only had to use the electrical impulses once on the chihuahua. A quick tap on the vibrator and she turns away from the fence. It works just as well on the larger dogs, one being a Doberman something mix.It fits both sized dogs (I trimmed the collar down)The price! For about 1/4 of the price this collar works just as well as the more expesive collars. (I can only speak to ranges from 1/5 to 3/4 of an acre, works just fine)Cons: I suppose this is to be expected for the price, the material the actual collar is made from is, well, lower quality and not as pliable. The collar still works just fine, but when you are trying to get it on quickly, it can be a bit more of a challenge.

I have 2 of these collars I bought 3 years ago that I am still using, but the batteries are slowly dying. I purchased 2 new ones thinking the battery life would be the same as when my old collars were new, which would last days on 1 charge. The batteries on these collars from this seller must be old becasue they won't even last 1 day. I just called D.T. Systems who said if you are using these daily, you should only have to charge twice a week. I am returning these to the seller and buying directly from D.T. Systems.

I've had a lot of shock collars in my time and this is probably the best one I have owned. Range is very good battery life is on par for other shock collars. Very easy to add to my transmitter.

The breplacement collar is actually just second collar on same transmitter...they work great!!

Easy to pair to the one I already had.
