I've installed a few of these lights, and they're incredibly simple to use. We recommend cutting the quick connector and using only standard wires for reliability and safety. When routing wires to the box, remember to use metal box clamps.The light works exactly as described. It is half the thickness of drywall and is designed to fit beneath floor and ceiling joists. This means it can be installed almost anywhere without regard for ceiling joist placement.The selector switch is another cool feature. Some of lights are stuck, and if you use an overly bright light, they will become stuck. You can easily adjust the intensity of these lights. This also has an effect on the color of the light.The junction box (connector + DC converter) is made of metal and can be separated and reassembled as directed. The pigtail connector is a standard low voltage connector that makes connecting and disconnecting the LED light component simple.the small metal box lid is as sturdy as I'd like it to be. The hinges are simple to install and do not require screws. I'd like an optional screw to keep this lid closed as a precaution. I may also have one of every twelve boxes contain a faulty pigtail adapter. But they're so cheap and work so well that a few broken lights are acceptable. I strongly advise you to order the exact size hole saw you require so that it fits snugly on your drywall, and I also ordered a very nice hole saw and dust bowl from Amazon. Both worked flawlessly, drilling the precise holes required to fit the light snugly into the ceiling and look great.I haven't tested the light with a dimmer yet, but you should get a compatible dimmer for any LED light. Otherwise, you will encounter difficulties.

The Pros: Very good value for the money. It displays many colors. But the most important feature, the one I cared for is, these lights DO NOT use, need WiFi, or connect to your home network. They work off an app that connects through your phone's bluetooth.The not so Pros: The box comes with ZERO installation instructions. You will have to search for how to videos and a prayer. The power wire coming off each lamp is way too short and the junction box (aka J-Box) is a small plastic container. Standard electrical wires MIGHT be to thick to fit in them. Their brightest setting is indeed very bright; blindingly bright. As such, the plastic harness can be warm to the touch. Strange for LED lights but the harnesses, wires, and connections remain cool. The actual illuminated LEDs seem a bit dated, as in old tech. The spectrum of colors is limited, meaning, you can only see what your eye can see, NOT what the app says it is.The CONS: There is no actual way to test each light unless they are installed or use a retro-fit lightbulb screw fit with wires to do so. Because it has NO REMOTE, you will need a cell phone with bluetooth (old or new, active or inactive) to select color schemes for each light individually or as a group.

I have purchased and installed several brands & styles of recessed lights over several years. These are heads and shoulders above in every aspect. Great price beautiful quality, slim design, easy to work with box attached with great quick fittings integrated, drill a standard 6" hole and they fit beautifully snug. I'm going to buy more and replace some of the poor fitting lights I got stung on previously from a big box store. Can't say enough good about these!

The media could not be loaded. No! Mising parts conector and partsmising

Easy to hook up. App control is difficult and set up was difficult. One light shorted out about one month after install. All wiring checked out to be installed correctly. Light shorted out internally.

Cannot wait to get these installed. They’re nice quality and a perfect price point. These will be replacing my can lights from 2014. Super excited about the color changing abilities with the remote!!

I bought these lights a few months ago and everything was great, then just recently I bought a 2nd box to go with the 1st original set unfortunately after installing them it made me use a different app than the first set used, 1st set used App BRlight and the 2nd set made me use App BRMesh any help would be appreciated to combine them all to one app
