Movibrace Abdominal Ostomy Belt for Post-Operative Care after Colostomy or Ileostomy Surgery Abdomen (Small),Black

I bought this before a hystorectomy/ cancer debulking surgery because I wasn't sure if I would have an ostomy afterward. Turns out, I did have an ileostomy (temporary) and this came in SO much handy. First, most hospitals don't have the abdominal binder with the hole built in, so they just arts and crafts it for you. Plus their binders tend to be a bit cheaper and itchy. When I whipped this out at the hospital, every nurse and tech on the floor was coming by asking my husband for the link to find out where to purchase it.I like the velcro opening at the top of the opening for the stoma. Definitely helps with getting it on properly. I definitely would wear a thin shirt or use a protective barrier between binder and skin just for comfort. I used large, thin absorbant pads the hospital gave me.Great purchase!

It helps to hold parastomal hernia at bay. However It needs a tee shirt under around top edge because it’s itchy.. it fits XXlg size as advertised. Helps prevent leaks because it holds the wafer and the pouch close to my body which helps prevent leakage due to separation. Thank you for this.

Does not fit flat around my midsection, so it protrudes under my shirt. Wish it was more adjustable because it was comfortable to wear.

I recently had open abdominal surgery with a colostomy, and although no one at the hospital suggested anything like this, I immediately realized how useful and comfortable it would be when I saw it.I don't wear it all the time (after 3/4 of the day it's nice to get out of) but it gives me peace of mind when I'm up and mobile. Obviously it's a very specialized thing one wouldn't just recommend to your friends at random, but it's great for the purpose it's designed for, and was a good investment for me.

If you have an ostomy you need this product, in addition to covering the bag to provide security, it also works as a support or grip, which prevents you from feeling the weight when your bag is full.

Very uncomfortable. It did not fit ostomy well and led to mild infection. Had to stop using it.

Amazing Comfort & Support...! This should be a must for ALL NEW OSTOMY PEOPLE...!!! It is so comfortable I love the confidence I get w/it, ie takes the worry out of moving bending over twisting correctly w/out causing more damage-hernias. there is extra padding around the stoma area which is intelligently designed exactly what one needs & hoped for. The Velcro straps make it very easy to get it around the stoma. If you have a loved one to assist you that can pull on one end while you direct the tension & wrap this will go so much easier & better for you. 1 Very Happy Amazon Customer...!! I purchased binders from Uriel, Movibrace, and Paz Wean to see which fit and felt best while wearing. All three are different prices, but the exact same product. Exact same product! All used the same material, which was scratchy and itchy.After 30 minutes my skin was irritated and I had to remove it. I only tried one since the other two were exactly the same. All were returned. Very disappointing!
