Good membrane tactile feel, quiet, lots of media keys (no software needed), poor ship packaging.
While the action of this membrane keyboard isn't as snappy as the Rosewill mechanical switch keyboard I had before (that broke, so it had to get replaced), this one has a good response. I type around 90 to 120 WPM (depends on the number of non-alphanumeric characters), and this is one of a few membrane keyboards that can keep up. I have a Kensington membrane, but its keys are too bouncy, and the key caps have a pebble texture that makes them slick (my fingers slide off). Although keyboards come with extendable feet to increase the angle of attack of the fingers against the key caps, at best they only raise the back of the keyboard by maybe 1/2". Instead I attach self-stick stiff foam weatherstripping to raise the back end higher, and also provide a non-slip grab (those flip-up plastic feet are definitely not non-slip). I like the dedicated media keys (web, email, file manager, calculator, fast fwd/rev, play/pause, and mute). I use Mute a lot to silence otherwise noisy web sites, especially those that like to blare their noise at you. It has a rotary volume level control which is more handy than having to repeatedly tap or press-n-hold up/down volume buttons. Requires no ancillary software since these media keys are already defined in the Windows registry, by default. The only fault compared to my old mechanical keyboard is the space bar is just a straight bar. The old keyboard was fatter in the middle of the space bar key making it easier to tap when extending the thumb outward. Mechanical keyboards are too expensive, I like this one, so I'm getting another to have as a spare whenever I smack this one too hard when frustrated playing a video game. I wanted a corded keyboard, because this is used with a desktop PC. Neither the PC, keyboard, or monitor move anywhere, so wireless is a waste of batteries, or a delay having to charge them (or swap them by getting a spare rechargeable battery set), and flaky operation when the battery gets low. I also prefer a wired mouse over wireless (less weight, no flaky operation when the battery is low, no having to replace/swap batteries or putting mouse in a charger base).Packing for shipping was poor. I had specified Amazon packing hoping the keyboard in its shelf boxing would be stowed inside a bigger box with bubble wrap to cushion the keyboard. Nope. Came with just the shelf boxing (flimsy) inside a soft plastic shipping sleeve. "Fragile" was marked on the sleeve, but the box still got crushed, and one end got torn apart. Keyboard looks okay, but this is a spare, so I won't know until the current keyboard dies, and I switch to this one. Disappointed in poor packaging for shipping.

Love this keyboard
Have had one of these keyboards for over 5 years and decided to pick up another for work. Dell struck a nice balance with the springiness of the keys and utility of the app/media keys at the top. The volume nob is an excellent addition with the ability to roll up/down volume quite rapidly if you encounter a song/video that is at a level you're not expecting. Was also pleased to find this shipped with a palm rest, a piece that my last one was missing. I may yet order another keyboard as a spare

Decent replacement for older Dell keyboards
This is a decent replacement for older Dell keyboards which had taller keys. I had a 10 - 15 year old Dell keyboard, and the general form and layout is similar for this new one but the keys of course are shorter. I can type just as well on this one as the older one. The new one has a similar wrist rest, which I favor, might even work better than the old one..

Great Keyboard
Replaced my standard keyboard which had two keys fail after many years. The "feel" of the keys on this one is great. Good tactile/touch contact. The KB is quiet but not "silent"... which is fine. I like the knob to control speaker volume rather than having to push a key down for up/down volume. USB port for easy access rather than using your tower plug. Fair price for a solid and handsome keyboard. Also comes with wrist extension for front of KB ... but I do not use it.

Everything is good.
I feel comfortable using this keyboard. The seller was also very nice and answered my questions very quickly.

Poor quality keyboard - feels cheap and flimsy; usb ports did not work
My old Keytronics keyboard died after 9 years of steady use. They just don't make good keyboards like they used to. This one had a super skinny, flimsy usb cord with a cheap thin plastic wrist rest. The keys were smooshy (I prefer more click and feedback) and too low profile for me. It came with 2 usb ports but these did not have enough power to read the usb flash drives.Lastly, this Dell keyboard did not come with a manual to explain how to program the keys. I'm aware that most electronic devices no longer come with a user manual, as a way for manufacturers to save on cost. That's okay as long as I can download one online, however the Dell website did not even have one available for this model!Very glad Amazon has a good return policy. Will have to keep searching for a better quality keyboard ..

Great Keyboard Replacement
Old Dell keyboard lasted 10+ years. This keyboard works perfectly with no problems. Just wish tabs at bottom were more adjustable.

Excellent for Home or Office
Full featured, elegant and robust, this keyboard seems to be an excellent choice for home or office. Responsive, curved-top keys make typing a breeze, and the volume knob quickly became a favorite feature. Of course, all USB hubs have a load limit specified by the USB standard, so your thumb drive might need a different port. If you need clicky keys, you'll need to shell out a lot more for a gaming keyboard. Otherwise, this keyboard is the best one that I've seen in a long time. Maybe one day they'll make an illuminated version.
