Very powerful
This was bought for my daughter. She tells me it is so powerful she thought she might lose a cat or some carpet when using it on full suction!

Very good!
it vacuums all the hair very well, it keeps removing the dust from the carpet, I hope I don't have problems in the future!

Beware
This machine has caused me one of the most severe problems of my nigh on 80 years of life. It arrived promptly but didn't work. Dyson replaced the battery but this didn't cure the problem. Dyson are now sending me a replacement charger but I have to wait up to 10 days for this and may or may not mean I have a workable vacuum cleaner. I was away from home for Christmas and New Year making it difficult to deal with the problem. I wish I had never ordered the machine.

Not as good as I was expecting
That’s the problem with expensive PR and Advertising,, they lead you to have high expectations. So I was expecting the very best on the market it isn’t so I wish I had bought a Sharp. Or stuck with my DraytekFirstly the suction is more than adequate it glides from carpet to wood and vinyl no problem. However if the wood is contoured you may have to switch heads.Doing the stairs is hard, the tools are not that easy to attach if you are oldish and don’t have strong hands. This is not light weight at all, it takes quite a lot of effort to carry it upstairs, I previously had a Draytek and that was easier to carry. If you remove the stem of the Dyson and carry that separately it becomes easier however running up and down stairs is not that easy as you get older.Inserting it into the recharging mount is also hard work, as before if you remove the wand it is easier but still tricky.Problem, keeping it clean, filter no problem as rinsible. General emptying is ok however it frequently has hair and dust clumping and sticking whilst emptying so you have to pull it out manually.Cleaning the head , watched the video on youtube you need a screw driver and wiggle it about til you manage to release some invisible catches. Come on Dyson I’m not an engineer, VERY POOR.So as long as you are fit and strong and very handy with a screw driver you will have no problems, if you are not then you will have to find someone who is.I also keep tripping over the wand when I have removed it, probably you won’t as you will be able to carry vac easily.

Poor value for money
It sucks up the dirt very well. Battery life easily cleans my home on one charge. Attachments are good. Instead of graphs on the handle telling me what kind of dirt I’ve sucked up, I’d rather have had a cleaning head that detects a hard floor or carpet rather than have to slide a mechanical switch from left to right; seems a bit archaic alongside all the high tech digital readout or perhaps include the laser light that shows up the dirt one can’t easily see. No, £500 isn’t enough to include the fancy head, that’ll cost you more. Mr Dyson is taking the Mickey a bit
