So they run large or small to size? take size 9 for running & walking shoes.

This is always a difficult question to answer because everyone’s feet are so different. I bought these to replace another pair of Salomons in a different style, and these fit the same as the ones they are replacing.

They are lighter than other Salomons I have had. Unofficially, on my kitchen scale, one boot weighs 16-3/4oz.

Yes! No rubber sole is ice skate free. I slid in snow mud too
