Legacy Jhiaxus is such an awesome figure. I never would have guessed that they would go this hard on a a character that like me I assume the majority of TF fans have never heard of but after getting this guy and reading up on his character I think I can officially confirm that he is a BEAST. Even if you know nothing about him you owe it to yourself to grab this guy. He just has a presence that is unmatched. Or just grab the vector prime retool…

Jhiaxus
I was a bit apprehensive about getting this figure, as I recently got a Vector Prime toy (basically a remold of this guy) and he kinda sucked. I'm glad I went against my gut, this Jhiaxus figure is great, very gaudy color scheme and a big ugly mug, he just looks fantastic.

Nice Figure
I collect some Transformers for the looks now, my oldest child having gotten too old to play with them. When I saw this figure, I recognized him from the comic books that featured him. At the price point of $20, which is pretty much my upper limit, I decided to get him.The most important thing for me is the ability to pose. I've had him in a pose on my desk for a week now and he's holding tough. The joints seem firm and there's a good range in his limbs. I haven't transformed him yet and don't really care to, so check other reviews for how well that works. All in all, a good, solid figure, and one I would recommend.

Engineering excellent, quality questionable
First, this is an IMPRESSIVE design. With limited G2 source material, Hasbro has engineered a fully posable figure with a reasonable (if largely invented) alt mode. Best of all, no hollow limb syndrome! The weight-saving, cost-cutting technique of omitting panels on the rear or inside of limbs, which has plagued most Transformers designs for years, is nowhere to be found on Jhiaxus! His hands fold away as you expect, but under-forearm panels then conceal them; his legs cleverly fold the tail of the jet to cover the hinge mechanism, and his torso is, for all visual purposes, a solid block. He has ankle tilt, waist rotation, above-90-degree elbow joints, shoulder lift and rotation, and even jointed hands, too often now a luxury even at the Voyager price point. Well done, engineers!Quality Control, do better. Mine has some pretty loose joints, including the right shoulder, waist, left foot tilt, and neck joint. He poses easily, but won't be able to stand dynamically for any length of time. Fixable, but shouldn't be necessary to fix out of the box. This one is probably not for very young children, as the joint which connects the wings to the back is very slim and may break with too much force, including tugging, throwing, or dropping.A possible issue is Jhiaxus' relative obscurity: although reinvented for IDW Comics, he never had an animated incarnation, and his G2 design hits a niche largely forgotten except by classic comics fans. Kids arent going to be begging for Jhiaxus based on his media presence.Hopefully this won't discourage Hasbro from further development of comics-exclusive characters, especially as fans are in need of properly-done favorites like Nautica, Aileron, and Rung.Ultimately, Jhiaxus is a great figure with tons of fantastic visual angles for posing or for play. 5/5 on design, 4/5 for loose joints.

Great TF but Sadly Lesser Known!
This is a great, well-made figure. No waffle holes on arms or legs, opening hands on a Voyager-class figure (which is rare), nicely detailed weapons and colors on figure are awesome. Posable like few others and transforms into a space-jet that is very much like the one in the comic version. This figure is a winner!

I love when Hasbro show's it's obscure characters love!
Despite being a big fan of G1 Transformer lore, I didn't really know a lot about this version of Jhiaxus. But after doing some research I fully understand why so much love and effort was put into its figure. The quality put into this figure's bot mode was made him one of last years Top 3 for me. If HasTak continues this tempo with quality and engineering, then so will this collector's hobby!
