This the best small investment you can make to your RCBS rockchucker
This the best small investment you can make to your RCBS rockchucker. Perfect fit, easy to install, very neat. Works great. Great service from seller too.

The tube is especially nice because I can empty it by just pulling out ...
It works well but doesn't catch every primer. I have to stop every so often to push the primers that accumulate in the black catcher into the tube because the primers don't always immediately fall in the tube. Sometimes a primer also doesn't go into the catcher and falls out on to the floor. Compared to the primer catcher that came from RCBS, this is miles ahead. The tube is especially nice because I can empty it by just pulling out the pug on the end of the tube while holding it into a small bin with a lid I have. I would definitely buy the product again if I needed to.

Poor design allows primers to build up in catcher.
Primer catch area will allow primers to build up without dropping into the catch tube. When enough would build up, the RC rod would cause a primer to get trapped between the catchers opening and the rod opening and chew up the lower part of the catcher. After this occurred about 15 times, the catcher had a primer sized groove on the front, allowing primers to fall to the ground.

I bought this for obvious reasons, but it just ...
I bought this for obvious reasons, but it just didn't seem to fit my press out of the box without adjustment. I had to sand a portion of the face and elongate the hole on the right side to make it fit, and I still had to shim the back under the yellow screw to make it fit right.I definitely would give this product five stars had it fit right out of the box without any modification.

Most ergonomic upgrade for an RCBS Rock Chucker
Strengths: Design, standard tubing, looks factoryWeaknesses: Primers jam up in the chute, like the RCBS one (pic attached)Recommendation: Absolutely recommended. Though it does have a small problem (the same problem as the included plastic one in RC IV+), it is almost a necessary upgrade to a rock chucker for depriming operations.Review: My rockchucker is the workhorse of my presses. It's used to deprime prior to wet tumbling (arguably the dirtiest of operations) almost exclusively, with a side of bullet pulling and case forming 300blk from cut 5.56 brass. 90% of the time the RC is rocking an RCBS Decap Die (.27-.45 Caliber Heavy Duty) or RCBS Decap Die (.22-.25 Cal) . I deprime thousands of rounds a month on it, and the standard RCBS plastic holder doesn't even come close to being able to handle that. This kit comes with a 3D printed black plastic housing, 2 set screws, a piece of standard clear tubing, a stopper for the tubing, and 2 pieces of 3D printed plastic to fill in the priming side of the shaft to prevent primers from popping out. The tubing can be replaced for a longer length if desired, and fits nicely into an empty water bottle or 2L bottle. The PVC tube fits about 500 small primers in it or about 200 large primers. Install takes only a few minutes and is fairly straightforward. When the PVC tube is full, you just bend it so the stopper is pointing straight up, pull the stopper, and lower the tube into whatever recepticle you use for spent primers.

Pretty good, if not perfect.
Pretty good invention. My experience after de-priming several hundred cases is that it is unquestionably an improvement over the RCBS primer catcher which causes primers to spew about the floor, my lap, and the joints of the press itself. My copy of this catcher is not perfect, however; it overflows after a while unless I stopped occasionally to nudge the accumulated spent primers into its chute. Perhaps I have not installed it just right. Time will tell. Even with this glitch, it is still a huge step in the right direction and definitely worth the money.

No more primers flying around!
This is a great little item. I didn't use the plug for the ram/front primer cut but it still is working very well. No more primers flying around! I was getting ready to get rid of this press and buy a Fosters just for the primer catcher. This little item saved me a $300 purchase.
