ALL PET WATER BOTTLE WILL LEAK A LITTLE BIT, especially when they are first tipped upside-down! I don’t know why so many people complain about “leaking”, I’ve had every type and brand of water bottle for 20+ years and these work as well as anything else you will find. Do they leak a little? Yes. Will you find a water bottle that never leaks? No! Go ahead and look at the reviews for every single pet water bottle on the internet, people will complain about leaking for every single one of them. Often it’s user error, with people not sealing the lid tightly or not putting on the rubber ring seal correctly, or not following instructions. I have over a dozen of these water bottles and they work wonderfully and do not leak any more than any other water bottle.

I read the reviews, and many talked about leaking/dripping. I'm not new to water bottles, and I know the tips and tricks to keep them from leaking, and thought a lot of people were doing something wrong, however unintentional it was. But no, this thing just won't stop leaking. I used room temp water, made sure it was hanging perfectly upright, I tapped on the ball to get the airflow right ,I used less water, I used more water, but nothing worked. If you happened to get a good one and it works for you, then congratulations. I sent mine back.

This waterer is life saver. We purchased 14 of these. 1 bottle lasted for 2 days for 1 rabbit. Easy to fill. There is a hand grip on the side. Durable and easy to clean. Easy to assemble. We have no issue of leakage. It does drip when you tip it over but it is the bubble. Once bubbles out, dripping stop. Thanks Lixit. All our chicks feeders are from Lixit too.. GOOD quality products.

I saw all of the negative reviews about it leaking. But I thought it must be something with the blue screw on cap and not the steel ball. And I had a few ideas for fixing that so I ordered it anyways. Sure enough, when assembled according to the instructions it just leaked like a sieve. So this is what I tried: Teflon tape around the threads, did not work. Teflon, tape around the steel pipe to blue cap interface, did not work. Food grade silicone grease on the O-ring, did not work. Packed the inner blue threads with food grade silicone grease, did not work. Used a wrench to tighten the blue cap a little bit extra than you can by hand (completely unnecessary), did not work. So the problem is definitely with the steel ball and the steel tube for which there is nothing the end user can do. So this sucker is going right back.

First off the quality is top-notch! For all the other reviews that cry about it leaking, you're not tightening it tight enough and or you're filling it too full. All rodent water bottles need an air gap in the top to cause a suction to prevent leakage. Other brands for mice and whatnot have a full line that you do not fill, above and you leave an air gap. Please be smarter than the bottle. However when it comes to pricing, I don't understand how it has gone up so drastically and such a short amount of time. I got these for like $3 less just a few months ago versus the current price. And a few months prior I was only paying $8.59 per bottle. How in the world did they almost double in price in six to nine months? But I use these all the time. In the heat of the summer, and in the single digits of the winter. They are an extremely good quality! Don't listen to negative reviews.

Diese Flasche ist vollkommen da Schrott einmal gefüllt und zusammengebaut ist sie undicht sie tropft vorne aus dem Metallstift würde ich niemand weiter empfehlen diesen Schrott zu kaufen

to my regret it IS LEAKING. It IS DRIPPING water CONSTANTLY. And because it is of large volume, you do not need to refill it so often to big create mess inside a cage. I'd ask vendor to replace just the lid, but item is not returnable. bottom line - wasted money. seller is free to misinform customers as item is not returnable. what a wonderful deal.
