Does what it’s supposed to
Purchased for small DIY jobs and the occasional professional use. The only downsides I can see over some of the big name brands. Build quality, it’s on the lighter plastic size but I don’t plan on knocking it around. The connecting ports are solid. There isn’t any play in them when connected. The control pad is a bit counterintuitive with back being down and left and right having different functions but it’s all clearly labeled. Trips you up a bit at first since the menu is designed left to right. The tone probe isn’t as sensitive as I’d like it to be but I also tend to use the probe outside of its intended purpose by tracking cables through floors. It has about. 5-6inch distance before it won’t get a tone when set to its highest sensitivity. The average wall would be no problem, tracking a cable through a crawl space without getting down there is a no go though. Does fine on romex as well provided it’s not energized.Length test surprised me with its accuracy. It’s not down to the centimeter or anything like some products 10 times the cost of this. In the hands of someone experienced though it’s going to get you close enough to a fault you’ll track it down easily.Overall it has plenty of accurate enough options to get the job done easier than without it. Making it an invaluable tool for anyone installing or troubleshooting cabling.

Great testers for troubleshooting at home!
I wired my entire house one room at a time but didn't label the cables. Fast forward to a few years later and I'm expanding and replacing equipment and now I don't know which cable goes to which room. I had an old cable tester but it was not accurate enough to locate the correct cable each time when you have a bundle of cables connected to a switch. Instead of unplugging them one by one and walking all over the house to find the disconnected device, I looked on Amazon and found this guy. Even with 40 cables in a bundle, the tester can locate and isolate the correct cable every time. The display is easy to read with lots of great information on cable length and wire layout to ensure each cable is connected correctly.Great price and a great product!

Fairly comprehensive tester
This is a very complete kit. It has everything you need to test various network and phone connectivity.I moved into a new (to me) home that has at least two ethernet jacks in every room with a network panel in the laundry room. Of course very little is marked so I have no idea what goes where. This tester will help me sort that out.In addition to network cable there is RG-6 coax cable for Cable TV and Internet. The product information page indicated you could test video cable. I didn't realize they were talking about BNC video cables so unfortunately I cant test the TV cables. It comes in a nice case. The instructions are quite readable. Translated pretty well with color pictures and good sized text. Extra points for that. This goes far beyond your average tester and is a great value for the price.

The other weird review about bad power button and mixed up directions is right
This seemed like it had good reviews except for one that said the power button was flakey and the directional buttons were mixed up. My device though sealed looked used so maybe I got that guys return but my power button only worked 1 out of 20 times and the down button is right, the right button is up the up button is up and the left button isnt anything... The unit also randomly shut off, in-spite of being fully charged, mid trace which is pretty annoying since there isnt anyway to know it shut off unless you happen to see it has turned off or come back to check it... fix the button issues and i would have totally kept this.

Worth much more than what you pay.
Very useful and so far incredibly accurate. In the first few days, I've used our tested most of the functions and can say this little kit is worth every cent.Reviews that state the length tester isn't accurate obviously can't read. It states it isn't for testing lengths less than 25 meters right in the instructions. Why do you need to test the length of a small patch cord anyway? I've tested it on Cat5e, Cat6, RJ59, RJ6 and even Cat7a. It helped me locate a cut RJ59 to within a foot instantly- something that would have taken me hours to trace out due to the location. The toner works great, although a volume control would be a nice addition.I haven't been able to use all the functions in the field yet, but I am confident this thing is going to be extremely useful. My only other complaint is the micro B charge port. It was a horrible design 15 years ago and just needs to go away.

Great Little Tester !
Great Price, works well so far, not to great on shorter lengths of cable test lengths, real close in longer cables.I purchased the other 2 more expensive Noyafa units and had issues from them at the get go - one showed constant split pairs, and the other shows crossed cable no matter the cable condition, new or old - In a lot of tests. This unit is cheaper, has almost all the same functions as the pricer units by the same company, and it has outdone them, not sure why that's the case but it has truly. It packs enough functions to make it a must have at this price point. By the way, I love the Anti E Interference probe. Always hated that 60hz buzz the Fluke 3000 pro wand emitted, it's so annoying. This wand rejects interference from surrounding sources and focuses only on the transmitted signal. Would I recommend purchasing this unit, definitely yes !

Works good. We’ll worth the money spent.
My only complaint is that the menu items move left to right on the lcd screen but you have to use the up/down positioned buttons to move through the menu. Its a minor complaint and once you get used to it, it’s not a big deal.
