The umbrella is lightweight, the button opens and closes the umbrella, which is great for people with carpal tunnel. You need to manually retract the umbrella to the base after closing it by pushing down on the top center of the umbrella. Keeps my wife cool in the sun and it’s easy for her to operate. It is compact and lightweight, she takes it everywhere on sunny days. The only downside is that the material for the snap tore and could be better made. Nevertheless, I would buy it again because, I have bought my wife a few UV blocking umbrellas from other companies and none worked as good as this one, nor were they this affordable, and all the others were too heavy for her to carry for an extended period of time. We highly recommend this one.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love EVERYTHING about this compact umbrella. It is only 11" when stored. I bought it over a year ago for a winter NCL cruise out of Galveston to four warm Ports. First - it is Sunblocking. the temp drop while under it is noticeable. Second - the quality, including the zippered cover. The span underneath is at least 36". The 19" telescoping handle is sturdy. Umbrella self deploys to pop open with just the firm push of button in knob at base. U need to firmly push on top of retracted umbrella to get it to LOCK into handle when putting away Would make a great gift. I would definitely purchase this again if needed.

I have used various kinds of umbrellas in direct Florida sunlight while volunteering outdoors, even umbrellas that claim UV protection. This is the first umbrella that I have used where I have noticed that I am cooler underneath it. It is also the first umbrella I have used with a reflective surface, and apparently that makes all the difference. Drawback: Difficult to Close. I have been able to close regular umbrellas with one hand using the mechanism along the shaft. This umbrella requires two hands to close, using one hand to actually press down on the top to get it to click close. Or a wall. Pressing the top against a wall helps to close as well. In Wind: First of all, it's a sun protection umbrella, not a wind umbrella. It doesn't claim to be good in the wind. Plus, most umbrellas are notorious for going belly up under strong wind conditions... even ones that claim to be specially designed to withstand strong wind conditions. If you are concerned about its wind stamina, it might not be the one for you. But if you want to protect yourself from the sun, I recommend.

I bought this umbrella because I really wanted a sun umbrella that could double as a rain umbrella. In the hot sun, this umbrella provides great shade and keeps the temperature down. I've had other regular umbrellas that I would just bake under it, so having this umbrella to fend off the sun and the sun's hot heat was a game changer. We brought this umbrella on our travels because it was lightweight and a good size to fit in our packs. It kept us cool from the sun, and dry from both rain and snow. I absolutely love this umbrella. I love the color. I love the size. I love that it opens at a push of a button. I currently have two that is used frequently.

I am very pleased with this sun umbrella. I have used it for a few months now and have taken it with me on a few trips. It feels compact, which is the size I needed, yet it opens up with enough coverage to function as needed. It has a high quality look and feel to it. It is easy to hold. I have high hopes that it will last much longer than a different brand I purchased last time. Overall, it functions as I had hoped, and I am very happy with it.

Great umbrella to keep sun off & so easy just hit the button. Got for my dad & he loved how easy it is to use with touch of button open/close. Recommend this one for sure!

This umbrella was cute but so cheaply made. The material began to tear on the inside and then it got black marks on the inside. Handle is wobbly and now one of the metal pieces is broken on the inside so now it does not open fully. Will be throwing it away after only having it about 3 months or so. I was using it for the heat this summer. Also you still feel the burning from the heat even while standing in the shade with the umbrella.

Very flimsy, it flipped upside down the first time I used it. I’m returning it.

This umbrella is phenomenal, and I use it year-round, even on the sunniest days, to protect myself from UV rays while walking around town. Pros: Sturdy and Compact: This umbrella is as compact as a standard portable umbrella but far more sturdy. It’s easy to carry around, fitting perfectly in my man bag or chest sling. Excellent UV Protection: The umbrella’s surface is extremely reflective, effectively blocking all UV rays when you’re underneath it. This feature is perfect for my usage, providing peace of mind during sunny days. Convenient Travel Case: The best part of this umbrella is the travel case. Unlike most umbrellas with frustrating sleeves, this one has a quarter-zip mechanism. It makes it extremely easy to unzip the cover, slip the umbrella in, and zip it up. This convenience takes the umbrella to the next level. Cons: Weight: If I had to point out a minor criticism, it would be that the umbrella could be slightly lighter. However, this is not a significant issue and doesn’t detract from its overall functionality. In summary, I can’t think of anything negative to say about this umbrella. It’s a fantastic product, perfect for anyone obsessed with sun protection like me. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend. I did umrah in the middle of the day in summer 43degrees! This product was excellent! I cant express enough. I had a cross body bag which it fitted in easily. I got back to the UK and had for the rainy days here too! It’s lightweight, it was sturdy in the winds, it looks so nice, easy to put up and fold down it has a cover, but i use a shoe bag to put it in when it was wet. Buy this!

I have been looking for a small compact umbrella to replace my old one and this fits the bill. Very similar in size and length from my old umbrella. My old umbrella was slimmer but this new one is a bit thicker which I don't mind and the weight is light. Love it!!

I used this at the Paris Olympics where my friends envied me -- it provided shade on a scorching hot day. I bought it because it was extremely compact and light enough to drag it around while I move around the city. It provides UVF protection AND protects against the rain AND the white colour means it was complimentary with every outfit that I was wearing. Plan to buy this as a gift for friends who travel.
