Horrible machine. Horrible Lenovo help.
Lenovo support is HORRIBLE. We hated this but bought it because we couldn't find Windows 7 machines. I have a 67 year old friend who wasn't going to upgrade a bunch of software just because Microsoft had come out with yet another operating system. The touch pad on this was always bad. my friend finally found an old Toshiba for $20 from a friend and put the hard drive into it. We were told we SHOULD be able to find the Windows 7 key on the back of the computer somewhere...or in the box it shipped in. I saved the BOX. NOTHING. We called Lenovo, of course their snotty answer was "just put the hard drive back into the Lenovo". Missing the point that the reason we were going through this was the fact that it was crap. I tried Microsoft and spent 6 hours on the phone with them AFTER they took my $40 to generate a new product key. They said they were having 'server' issues and couldn't generate the code. then they mysteriously lost my case number. then they said it was a billing issue, TOTAL runaround. I've been a loyal Amazon customer for a long time. Now the only thing I can think to do is ask them to go back to Lenovo on my behalf to get the code. I don't understand. When I buy a computer it needs an operating system to function. I should not have to now be searching for a new operating system or trying to get someone to provide a code for a system which I obviously own. The good old days you got the software separately and installed it yourself. At least if something went wrong, you owned the piece parts.

Great portability but pretty standard
I got mine in yesterday. Delivery was amazing - I live in Hawaii and shipping was FREE (never happens) and it got here within 2 days! So the look of the computer is very modern with it's matte finish. The screen is anti-glare so it's easy on the eyes. Feels solid in spite of being lightweight. The size and weight are truly ideal for portability. Mouse pad control and sensitivity appear good. Sound is pretty loud.Everything is pretty standard but there's nothing 'fancy' about it. It opens up with Windows 7 Operating System (which I prefer over the Windows 8) but it's pretty bare bones when you get inside. Microsoft Office is not included which was a disappointing for me. While the sound is pretty loud, it can get a bit rough sounding when at high volumes with alot of bass. The webcam resolution is pretty poor and the standard setting only allows for taking snapshots - no video recording. It works for my needs but I wouldn't go into this think it has all the bells and whistles!!

like touchpad much better than my ASUS
Notebook runs smoothly, like touchpad much better than my ASUS. Keyboard not as impressive as Lenovo's typical reputation for keyboard excellence. Otherwise a solid machine for my college bound daughter - compact and not too heavy for portability around campus

Great laptop for the price
I got this for 480$ And dont have much complaints, the trackpad is surprisingly accurate and i would compare it to apple"s, its also very solid and it looks very cool and stealthyOnly complaint is display, the colors are washed out and it looks grainy, i would have gladly paid an extra 100$ to have a better displayFor some reason lenovo uses crappy displays for all their laptops evern the yoga pro 2

Nice for students
Nice laptop for price. Finger print doesn't always work, you have to go back and reprogram your finger. It's fast enough for my daughter to watch YouTube and Google searches. Don't use for much else.

Good no-frills laptop
Good computer; works as expected. I should've checked the number of USB ports; it could use a few more.
