Robelle's 7-pound premium cyanuric acid stabilizer effectively reduces chlorine loss caused by sunlight, maintaining optimal cyanuric acid levels (40-100 ppm) and decreasing chlorine consumption by up to 25%, ensuring longer-lasting, cost-efficient pool sanitation.

Not noticeably slower to dissolve.
CYA takes a while to dissolve, period. The liquid stabilizers do dissolve quicker, they are also $$$$. Does this product dissolve slower than, say, HTH, Clorox, or other name brand granular stabilizer? Maybe a little, but when you consider the price, it's a no-brainer. I put 7 lbs in the skimmer two days ago, and it's dissolved. 48 hrs is not unreasonable for CYA, especially that quantity.

Works better than other brands and super fast delivery!
Worked exactly as expected. Pour half a bag (about 3.5 ibs.) and tested the pool water the next day. The stability was perfect!I had used about 12 lbs. of a different brand (Pool Choice) but it did not change the stability much. So happy this Robelle brand worked so quickly as I just had a full hip replacement 2 days ago and it is very challenging to add the chemicals and to measure them.Trust me you won’t be disappointed with this product l.

It works.... eventually!
Original 2022 ReviewI wanted to add a positive review after seeing that all the top listed reviews for this product are negative.Up front:it's cheap - about 30% cheaper than the stuff I can get at my pool store). The product description is slightly inaccurate - it's 98% CYA not 100% (didn't matter to me)Like all the reviews say it is GLACIALLY slow at dissolving in pool water. For me it took one old pair of gym socks, one seven pound bag of this stuff, a couple of zip ties and a week of patience, once the CYA-stuffed-socks were tossed in the skimmer.I got the stabilizer raise I expected from the volume of product I added. If you have the time, this stuff does work.UPDATED FOR 2023I purchased another bag of this because..... it's that time of year!Same experience: the product is S.L.O.W to dissolve, but it works.2 weeks in the skimmers in athletic socks (the same bright green ones as last year) and this stuff is gone and my CYA reading is up with the level of increase I would expect from 7lbs of product. So what's the bottom line.* If you are the kind of person who wants to increase your CYA by throwing this into the bottom of your pool, or poring it directly into a skimmer so it goes in your filter - this is not the product for you. It's too slow to dissolve.* If you are the kind of person who wants to boil water and stir and wait and boil and stir and wait until you can add it to the pool already dissolved - this is not the product for you. It's too slow to dissolve.* If you want/need a quick increase in CYA - this is not the product for you. It's too slow to dissolve.* If you have a bit of time (10-14 days) and a couple of old socks - this product works and it's cheap.I will be back form more next year.(To the very few reviewers out there that are getting NO CYA increase from this product, maybe a bad batch or maybe user error? That has not been my experience either time)

It works, a good value and dissolves.
Not much to say it works, brings up my cya.It comes in 3 7lbs packages, which is good to keep the chemical fresh. In all likelihood you will only need 10-12 lbs to go from zero to 60-70 Cya. Therefore you will have a good amount for next year. Many reviews state that it clogs up their pump. I did not have that issue and never had. The trick is to add it slowly over several hours.I dropped half a bag 3-4 lbs, waited a few hours and dropped the rest. If you need 12 lbs and put it in all at once maybe thats the issue.I put it in a kitchen garbage can with hot water from kitchen faucet (not boiling), mixed it around for 5 minutes. Poured into the skimmer, it didn’t all dissolve and pump had no issues. I could see some white pellets in the pump look through but they went away 30 minutes later.Best price I can find at the time (May 2024)

Doesn’t dissolve!
Hoping this will convince even just one other customer not to buy! Unfortunately, I overlooked the fact that MOST reviews say positive things and there weren’t that many negative reviews. Sadly, I’m finding my experience in the negative. This product absolutely does NOT dissolve. I followed the instructions and more than a week afterwards there are still white flakes in the bottom of the pool that the vacuum is picking up. (See photo). Levels nor clarity have changed at all. My main concern other than the inconvenience, is wondering if it’s still safe to swim in my pool? I don’t like products that don’t do what they say. I tried to save a few dollars and definitely regret this decision.
