ElecGear 8X ALPS 10K Replacement Potentiometer + Drift Fix PCB for PS4, Xbox, Elite, Switch Pro Wireless Controllers, Trim Pot Resistor Thumbstick Module Sensor for ALPS Analog Joystick

I brought 2 old controllers back to life and still have 8 of these things left. Works as described, so far so good.

These potentiometers fixed the drift and range of motion issues my Elite Series 2 controller developed after several years of use. Installation is not the easiest if you are new to soldering, but it is possible to do with soldering iron and solder wick.

It worked! Grabbed these just for the potentiometer disks. Did not have to solder anything. Just swapped out the potentiometers for drift issue. Ended up swapping out all 4 even though was only on left stick. No drift on either side and works like new. Recommend to anyone with stick drift

Replaced just the inside sensor from this at first. Didn't work. Soldered in two for two different controllers and both work great so far. Might update if they fail soon. Walmart xbox one x controllers.

These did not fix my issue with stick drift, however they did reduce the amount of stick drift.

These potentiometers looks almost as long as the original ones. No complains at all.

I don't normally leave reviews, but this is my 2nd time purchasing these 10k potentiometers from ElecGear. The first set I got was to replace on Dualsense and Xbox controllers. About half of these are junk. Measuring with a multimeter, you will get a variance value of anywhere between 8.9kohms to 9.5komhs. While that value is normal, its not until you install these on a controller that you notice a lot of noise and resistance spikes. My second kit, I tried all of these on a Dualshock Thumbstick with and without 1.8v applied and when pressed in the directions, resistance is all over the place. ± 150-200kohms. Not a single pot in this kit went back to the the values it should be. Pressing on the left axis, Not a single pot went close to 0v. The best I could i get was 0.5-0.9. Pressing on the right axis, Not single one of these pots made it within 1.8v. The best pot only reached 1.53v when the right axis was pressed in all the way. I'm actually starting to think these are not real alps potentiometers. Ive never had so much issue with pots in my life. Aside from all of the horrible values, the noise on these is really bad. Noise that causes resistance value changes at rest between 150-220kohms. I will never be buying these again. Spend a little more and get some better pots.

Perfect replacement and the included adjustment pcb was a very welcome addition but not needed in my case. The one I replaced was dead accurate immediately after installation per the Xbox calibration screen

Worked perfectly on my Elite series 2 i just changed the internal component and now i have no stick drift problems

They have bad characteristics. Wanted to get rid of my stick drift on Xbox. Had to go through 4 of them. After replacing the first, second and third the stick was working but it was very fast horizontally on original box resistor and very slowly responding vertically on those ones. Doesn't recommend.

Fixed my stick drift on my ps5 controller. Also compatible with some ps4 controllers as well. Was easy to install for me. So far no problems controller is working good.

Ho acquistato questi trimmer di ricambio per riparare la levetta analogica destra del mio controller Sony DualShock4 V2 Camo e si sono rivelati utilissimi e di ottima qualità. Grazie a questo kit si potrà risolvere definitivamente il fastidioso problema del drifting, che purtroppo affligge le levette analogiche dei controller dopo mesi/anni di utilizzo. Questo problema non si potrà risolvere in altra maniera se non sostituendo il piccolo componente metallico all'interno del trimmer, che purtroppo si usurerà in maniera graduale con il passare del tempo. Ovviamente non è richiesta nessuna saldatura o modifica elettronica alla scheda ma soltanto un po' di manualità e pazienza. 📦CONFEZIONE Il kit arriva in una piccola confezione gialla ben protetta dagli urti (FOTO1), dove all'interno troviamo una scatolina in plastica contenente 8 trimmer da 10Kohm, un manuale e un piccolo cacciavite (FOTO2). ⚒️COME EFFETTUARE LA RIPARAZIONE ATTENZIONE: Prima di acquistare il kit consiglio di smontare il controller e verificare quale trimmer serve, ne esistono di 2 tipi (verde e arancione), ognuno dei quali può avere diversi valori di resistenza. Questi valori si possono leggere in un lato del trimmer stesso, dove sono riportati dei numeri scritti in bianco (FOTO 3). Una volta individuato il tipo di trimmer procedere come segue: 1) smontare completamente il controller, se non si è pratici consiglio di seguire qualche tutorial su internet. 2) aprire i 2 trimmer all'interno del controller, in corrispondenza della levetta analogica difettosa, aiutandosi con il piccolo cacciavite fornito in dotazione e facendo leva delicatamente sugli incastri. 3) controllare il verso in cui è posizionato il componente metallico del trimmer originale (FOTO 4). Questo è importante poi per rimettere il nuovo, infatti se si metterà nel verso sbagliato si rischierà di danneggiare il componente metallico del trimmer o che il controller non funzioni correttamente. 4) togliere delicatamente il componente metallico all'interno del trimmer, aiutandosi con delle pinzette. 5) ora sarà essenziale munirsi di un cotton fioc e di alcool etilico denaturato al 90% (meglio se isopropilico) e pulire minuziosamente tutto l'interno del trimmer, in particolare tutta la sede di color nero dove scorreranno le alette del componente metallico del trimmer. La pulizia delle sede interna è importantissima, infatti troveremo molta sporcizia che potrebbe compromettere il corretto funzionamento. 6) ora si potrà inserire il nuovo componente metallico all'interno del trimmer del nostro controller. Per fare questo basterà togliere il componente metallico dal trimmer nuovo appena acquistato ed inserirlo delicatamente nel trimmer del controller (rispettando il verso delle alette). 7) chiudere delicatamente il trimmer del controller fino a che non si sentirà un click. Eseguire questa procedura per tutti e 4 i trimmer del controller. 🟢PRO - Confezione semplice ma contiene tutto il necessario per la corretta sostituzione dei trimmer originali. - Trimmer di ottima qualità, risolveranno al 100% il problema se la procedura verrà fatta correttamente. - 8 trimmer permettono di riparare ben 4 levette analogiche (2 trimmer per levetta). 🔴CONTRO Nulla da segnalare.
