Great cars and customer service
Bought two of these with different frequencies so my 4/5 yo grandson and I could race. After a year we broke the turn wheel on one remote. I contacted DeeRc and we were beyond the warranty period but together we identified the exact replacement remote and they sold it at a severely discounted price. It’s arrived and we’re racing again! Great customer service.

Great Value for the price!
I am planning on gifting this to my 8 yr old son. We have purchased several $20-$50 RC cars in the past and I've been disappointed with their quality and battery life. But this RC car is so much better. It's very well made and is an amazing price for the value. I wanted to test drive it before I committed to keeping it. Here are my findings...Packaging: Lightweight, good quality packaging with fun graphics. The car is encased in styrofoam. I found it awesome that I didn't have a gazillion plastic tags or rubber bands or screws to take it apart from the packaging. In a little baggy you'll find the manual, battery charger, extra screws, and a screw driver.Controller: Strong hold on the battery lid. It takes 2 AA batteries. It seems to be intended for the left hand to hold it and the right-hand turns the dial. Push it forward to reverse the car. Pull it back to move the car forward. The battery: the car comes with one in the battery compartment (which is very easy to access btw on the belly of the car), fully charged and ready to go. You just have to connect the two ends for it to supply power to the car. To release the connectors it takes two hands as there are 3 clips that need pressure. I timed the battery and it was still going strong at 20 1/2 minutes! I was super impressed! And remember, it comes with a second battery. That's some serious play time compared to others we have purchased. The Car: It measures at 11 inches long x 7 1/2 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches tall. It has really good shocks and a sturdy body. The detail inside the body of the car is so cute. I can totally see my son putting LEGO guys in it to drive around! It has 4 lights across the top that kids will find awesome! Especially in the dark!It drives and reverses well. It bumbs softly into walls and such. I had it climb over books and clothing and piles of towels. It has great power and totally can if the incline isn't too steep. If it's too steep it will just flip over and get stuck on its back. No biggie. I did notice that once it's engaged in one direction it's a little sluggish in responding to turn the other way. But for kids I actually prefer that. It doesn't go super duper fast but fast enough for beginners, for sure! My husband noted that it has front and rear motors and a tracking adjuster on the belly of the number. All in all, this is an amazing entry-level RC car. Its quality is so much better than anything I've seen or purchased from your typical large stores that carry toys. I think my son is going love this and be able to play with it much longer than other ones we've gotten in the past.

A good beginners RC crawler with long battery life
We were home and thought about our childhood and what we enjoyed doing back in the days. Our conversation steered towards remote control cars and that we always would have liked to get one. So we decided to browse through the tons of options on this webpage to find a good one for our kids to start with. We decided to give the DEERC a try.Box Opening:Everything was well packages in a styrofoam shell. It came with the RC car, 2 batteries, 1 screwdriver, 1 USB charger, 1 manual. Unfortunately the packaging ripped when we tried to get the RC car out. This is not a big deal, but if you are a box collector you want to use some love and care when sliding it out. We plugged in the charger for the battery and waited until it was fully charged. Then we hooked it up to the RC car and used some batteries for the Remote Control transmitter. Turned on both the car and the control, and it paired right away as described. We were all set and ready to go.Experience:We had the car out on the sidewalk, the lawn, gravel, mulch. It mastered all challenges and crawled without effort through these spaces. It is fun watching it doing this. The RC car is not very fast but I feel that it is a good speed for smaller kids to get used to it. You cannot control the speed as it only has on/off but this is expected in this price range. The battery lasted somewhere between 30-40 minutes and charged quickly. It is something you don't find very often. The overall structure of the car seems fine and we did not experience any physical breakages. But I would not use it for jump anyways. This is a crawler nevertheless. However we did have a problem with the steering motor after a few days where it would just stop working. I contacted DEERC customer service and they quickly replaced the car. The second car does not show any problems so far. Conclusion:I found it interesting that a RC car seems to help my kids with spacial thinking. In the beginning they kept running behind the car while steering. After a while they realized that it will also drive while one stands still. Interesting to see this progress. I removed a star because the first car broke down, but I have to state that their customer service was quick to help me out. Overall fun to drive and great value for the money.

Would recommend
I bought this for my niece. It's surprisingly quick, seems pretty durable, and it's been crashed several times and still works fine. She had a lot of fun with it and I would buy it again.

A decent RC, but don't expect too much.
I ordered this DEERC DE45 RC Car for my partner who had always wanted an RC car as a girl, but was never given one.The product, described as a "Rock Crawler", drives much faster than expected, but the motors aren't geared down enough to be really effective when crawling over difficult terrain. The controller itself feels very cheap, has no speed control - just a forward and reverse trigger, a left/right wheel, and an on/off switch. It can handle small hills and some grassy areas but is definitely better suited to traversing hard soil, mulch, dirt and asphalt. The headlights aren't very bright, but they're a fun feature. The product description also says that the "2 Batteries for 90 Min Play" which sounds like each battery will last for 90-minutes, but it seems ore like the combined battery duration will provide for 90-minutes...though I would say it is more like 20-30 minutes each. The car is able to take some hits and still have no visible signs of damage, arrived in good condition, and is generally pretty fun to play around with. It's a good purchase for someone who is not serious about RC toys and doesn't want to spend a lot of money on something frivolous.
