I am so glad that I decided to purchase one of these files. I have very soft nails, due to a medical condition, and half the time when a nail grows to what I would consider an acceptable length, it gets caught on something and I have to cut it shorter because a file won't work on it. I use normal emery boards because I don't think the metal files work well on soft nails like mine. It's a never-ending, annoying process that I believe this glass file will remedy. The glass file feels even softer and works so well. I have used it three times, always filing in one direction, and it has saved two nails that would have broken in the past. I wasn't aware that glass files that could be used on natural nails even existed. I highly recommend this file to others and plan on purchasing one for my daughter and my sister in the futureI

I've had this for like a year now. I got it because I have a habit of picking at my nails and hoped this would be an alternative that lessened this habit. I can't lie that a paper file feels better since it's not completely rigid, but I wanted to be environmentally conscious. Plus, this feels more effective than paper due to its rigidity. It's just a bit uncomfortable, but of course it would be. It's sandpapery glass on nails. I don't regret it though, it has helped me be more aware of my bad habit.

This glass nail filer works just as described! I used it on my sister’s natural nails and it was wonderful. The filer worked wonderfully and left the nail perfect. I love that I can rinse it off and it will be clean again and last forever! The case seems to be a bit of lower quality but is perfect to store the nail filer. Loved this purchase!

This file works very well. Keep in mind that it is glass and may break if dropped. This is my second purchase as I did drop my first one (which I had for at least 3 years), and it broke.

The file itself is nice. You can tell that the file part isn't sprayed on, and it is in fact etched, so this should last as long as I don't break it. The pearly finish on the side you hold however, does appear (to me) to be sprayed on, so the longevity of that aspect is still up for debate, but it doesn't affect the functionality of the piece. It is also worth noting that the case is simply made of plastic, not metal like you might think. But it seems like it will be okay for protecting the file while it isn't in use, as long as you aren't too rough with it. I've seen other glass files that come with leather cases as well, but this seems like a better option for overall protection, even though it looks/is cheap.This is my first glass nail file, and I will say that although it is a different feel from the disposable ones I am used to, it isn't offensive. And considering it will last an indefinite number of years, I think it should save money in the long run. If I were rating only the glass file, I would have given 5 stars, but my rating for the entire product is 4 because of the somewhat cheap case, which I don't foresee aging well.

i bought this one because i lost my previous one from this brand and i was in a panic!!! i LOVE this glass file, most glass files i’ve bought off amazon hardly file anything off and take so long to get the job done! i’m a nail tech, and i like to use these glass files for myself only (because you can’t disinfect these sadly :( ) and it’s my holy grail! i love that you can go in a see-saw motion with these, rather with a disposable file you have to file in one swipe in the same direction only.

Have always preferred Revlon compact Emery Board nail files over any other until I found these glass nail files. My mom bought me one and I loved it but my daughter used it on acrylics and ruined it. These are similar and work just as well. I tried a different brand but the glass was thicker and didn't work as well.

This file is a game changer for me ? Usually other files leave my nails with a rough feel to them thus one is like magic. Leaves a smooth clean surface. Now the feeling of glass rubbing your nail might feel weird at first almost like scratching a chalk board kind of feeling, but I promise it goes away after a few nails. Now I love it!! Wash it let it air dry and place in its cute little case. I think I will be putting these in all my friend stockings for Christmas this year
