Great gauge for the money, works great in my Jeep!
Fantastic gauge. Accurate and very neat looking on the interior of my Jeep Cherokee. Installation was fairly easy and straight forward. If I had to complain about anything I suppose it would be that the wiring harness wires are pretty flimsy. Also, for those of you looking, this does not include any installation hardware besides the gauge, temp sensor and some mounting stuff. I had to run to the hardware store for a T-fitting and 3/8" hose barbs to hook this up to my transmission lines. Would defnitely buy again. Also, if you're looking for replacement temp sensors, you can get them on GlowShift's website for about 10 bucks. I'm going to get another and link them with a toggle switch so I can monitor both output temps, and cooled fluid temps.UPDATE: I've been running the Glowshift for several months now and have a few things to add.The gauge itself is still great--but tracing down an annoying rattle in my Jeep led me to the color-change button on the gauge. It has an annoying rattle against the lens. A simple little grommet would fix this. I haven't fixed it yet or figured out how I'm going to. It's pretty annoying. Also, the sending unit wires are too flimsy. I moved my sending unit to another line and have to redo the wires with solder now. Still pretty happy with it otherwise.

Great gauge
Great gauge fits perfectly in the glow shift pod. Easy to install. Works great on my 4l60e set up.

Amazing tech support! Great product!
Function exactly as it should. Tech support was amazing. I had an issue where the light would turn on and then turn off and stay off.Come to find out the face has twisted and pushed and held the button in.Great company to deal with.

Still going strong 3 years later
I bought this gauge primarily because of the price point, and I thought it looked really cool. The reviews were kinda iffy, but most of the issues seemed to be wiring related.I took great care with my wiring at the sender & at the gauge, and I’ve never had a hint of an issue with the gauge. It always remembers my selected color, wakes up & does the self test when it powers up, and generally does everything you need a gauge to do. 10/10, definitely recommend.I’m so pleased that I bought another one for a different jeep.

Save & extend the life of your transmission if you can know the temp!
My motorhome is pre-1996 so I could not use a common device that can read the transmission temperature via OBDII. I needed a stand alone temperature gauge.Product comes with gauge, sensor and wiring. The directions say that you can change the color of the display, but I did not try that feature. I did wire it to the vehicle running lights so the illumination in the gauge could change.I used a 3/8" TEE with the appropriate 3/8" to 1/8-27 NPT adapter to add the sensor to my transmission fluid cooler hoses/lines. I needed to extend some of the wiring to complete the installation. Instructions were easy to follow and so was the installation. Getting the wires inside to the gauge was the hardest part of the job.The gauge wedged into a small unused cubby in my dash so I did not need a housing or have to cut an opening to house the gauge.I could glance at the temperature gauge as I was driving my small Motorhome on the expressway. This provided a great relief that my fluid cooler actually reduced the trans fluid temperature by 100 degrees F.This worked very well for me!

Attractive and nice looking.
I had this installed by my mechanic of choice. It’s not too hard for DIY, I’m just to old. I have been able to gear down, slow down or pull over and check well before the warning could flash. It is peace of mind when towing within the weight range of smaller tow vehicles.

Eh? I'm still not sure.
Hello! I've had a few glow shift gauges in my truck for about a year now. At first it was exciting. New shiny things, you know how it is. But, recently I have been having issues. Ever since the start the trans temp gauge would take several miles, ten or twelve, of highway driving before it would even register. At that time I had the sending unit installed in the pressure test port on my E4OD. Now the gauge almost never registers temperature. I had moved the sending unit to the bottom of the trans pan about halfway into the fluid. The gauge itself has been great. No issues with anything, still shiny and still working. The colors are vibrant and easy to see. The rainbow function is nifty, but I'll never use it.

4 gauges 5 stars
I purchased four of these various gauges and they're worth every penny. I really like the customizing color capability. They fit perfectly in the GlowShift Pillar Pod too. Instructions were very simple and easy to follow. Customer support was also extremely helpful as I had to contact them for the following reason....After installing all the gauges and testing them I could not get the gauges to change colors. Also, on two of the four gauges the button for changing colors would not depress. Technical support stated that the buttons would not depress because I turned/adjusted the gauges from the outside bezel ring, which turns the bezel ring just slightly and jams the button. As instructed I pulled the gauges out of the pod just enough so I could grab the gauge from the main body and turn it to align as need and turn the bezel back to release the pressure from the button. The buttons then worked properly but the colors still did not change due to the second reason stated by tech support. The instructions inform the user to use a 3 amp fuse if wiring directly to the battery such as I did. Instead of running 4 lines and 4 fuses I ran one main line (fused) from the battery and into the pod. I then tied each gauge into the main line. This proved to be another problem in proper operation since the 3 amp fuse was not enough for all 4 gauges. I replaced the 3 amp fuse with a 7.5 amp and everything works great. It would have been nice to have this information about the bezel ring and wiring method added to the sheet instructions but the tech support was great.
