We have a lot of these Belkin units at work so I decided to replace a old surge protector with this Belkin. I can't speak for how well the surge protection works but I really do like the spacing between the outlets. More and more electronics have separate power packs to reduce the weight and sizing of the alarm clock, modems, etc. and those power packs take up a lot of space. Often they cover 2 other outlets because of their size so you lose a lot of outlets because of the spacing. This item has well spaced outlets and which accommodate multiple power packs with ease. Price is a tad higher than some of the competitors but it's also a well know brand.

These are solid surge protectors and I have been using them for 10 years now. I always buy these for all my PC equipment. A lighting strike hit the transformer outside my house, causing a surge to hit my house, taking out TVS and radios and other electronics, not protected by this surge protector. This unit saved everything connected to it in my instance and I am grateful. Does it says it will and has been lighting tested for what that's worth. Your situation may be different, but for me its solid built and has served me well.

I got four of these yeears ago just to have more sockets and they worked fine, no biggie.But recently, my power company had something blow nearby and surged the hell out of my house.My car charger literally exploded to pieces outside. Half my wall outlets fried and have to be replaced.All four of the surge protectors fried, but not a single one of the many devices that were plugged into them took any damage. So grateful. The minute you take this product out of the box you can see and feel the quality. I wanted a surge protector that would, without fail, protect my TV and all the peripherals that are attached to it. After watching many reviews on the Belkin brand I decided this was the one for me. The flat profile allowed me to install it behind my TV table and still keep it tucked nicely against the wall. It had more that enough outlets and space to accommodate the variety of plugs and adaptors for my equipment. The only reason I rated it 4 stars versus 5 stars is the lack of USB outlets which would help make this product a bit more functional. I highly recommend it over the cheap plastic products out there if you are serious about protecting your valuable equipment.

This multi-plug surge protecting switch is big; barely portable for most uses. The great news is that it has TWELVE outlets for lots of chargers/laptops/phones/etc. It provides a good margin of safety during those summer thunderstorms and their surges, outages, and sudden transient overvoltages when power is restored.Its weight and stiff power cord are minor detriments compared to its easy use and dependability.

This power strip works great! I bought 3 of these. It seems like this model might be discontinued. However, there is a very similar new model out that is just as good.
