This adapter works great on a Microsoft computer. I can confirm that it works as intended on windows 11, and when it is plugged in, the device will automatically show up as an audio source in the audio drop down menu of the taskbar, without having to install anything. Great for adding another way to plug in a headset/mic or a set of speakers with 3.5mm output. The audio quality is surprisingly good as well.

Practical device, nice presentation and foam protected. Installed as followed (Mac OSX) plug the device, select the USB Device in output options and that's it. My speakers received a full dose of audio volume and working very well. Attached some images of the device and how the Mac sees the device in the system report. Final words, good option and simple to install.

I bought this adapter specifically to use my Bluetooth headphones with in-flight entertainment systems, and it works fine. (Note that you need the IFE Bridge iOS app). Because the input is a microphone input (instead of "line in") the input is mono, but the audio will still come out both earphones with IFE Bridge. My setup: I plug the airplane's 3.5mm headphone jack into this adapter (pink input), connect the adapter to my iPhone, and use the IFE Bridge app to route the audio to my AirPods. No more tangled airline headphones! My son's gaming computer lost sound. Tried updating drivers and settings but nothing worked. Bought this and have sound. But you need to use back USB port not front end USB port. Inexpensive fix!

Final update: The problem I had was because the microphone input on this unit is extremely sensitive, apparently designed for a dynamic microphone. A signal input approaching line level seriously overdrives it. It also seems to have a very high input impedance, because a variable L-pad using a 10K potentiometer only allows control near the bottom of the range. So, for use with a real microphone input, it does what it was designed to do. Just don't try to use it with a headphone output jack or a line level signal. The unit I got only produces a loud sputtering static in the output. I took the audio record output from a PA system through the adapter to the USB C port of a phone, and the recording was indescribable. It sounded rather like what you would expect from a satanic voice. Even with no audio input it is loud static. Of course, when I looked up my order to enter the review, I see that I am a couple of days past the return deadline. I do not recommend this item. (EDIT) After further experimentation, I found that the problem occurs when applying an external audio source to the microphone input, and the USB-C connector is connected to my celphone. If I used a desk microphone, it recorded normally. It also functioned as expected when connected to the USB-C input of the computer, with headphones and microphone or headset. Unfortunately, my application required recording audio from a PA system to my phone. For this it did not work. Fortunately, I had another different adapter that will work as desired.

Connectivity is well instant feedback, device becomes apart of the headphones. it functions well in my desktop USB 2.0 port. The power use is minimal. Although the volume power depends on the headphone used it is quite good and if u play with windows setting u can beef up sound. The only software I noticed is the setup which was snappy. Simple plug and play. Try to use a headphones with long cable length as to not pull on the device. Cable length is fine at 2-4m. Overall it's nice to take a cheap headphones and make it multipurpose or to replace the audioports on ur pc..

Compré este adaptador porque mi puerto de auriculares dejó de funcionar y necesitaba una solución rápida. La instalación es plug & play, lo conectas y en segundos está listo sin necesidad de instalar drivers. El sonido es claro y sin interferencias, tanto para auriculares como para el micrófono. Lo he probado en Windows y en PS4, y en ambos ha funcionado sin problemas. Además, la construcción es robusta y no da sensación de ser un producto frágil. Bence bu ürün kısa süreli. Eğer laptop kullanıyorsanız kesinlikle almayın. Çünkü diğer usb girişini net kapatıyor ve bence bu çok kötü. Bir süre sonra zaten kendiliğinden usb girişi yamulduğu için kullanmayı bıraktım ama baya götürdü.

Très bonne alternative si un problème survient sur votre carte son interne (connecteurs etc...). Fonctionne parfaitement, la mise en place est faite en quelques clics et est bien expliquée dans une petite documentation.
