Ensure it's wood
Works fine, BUT, ensure the trim is real wood, not the cheap builder grade pressed cardboard and sawdust painted trim, it will split that trim apart.

SUPER easy!
These curtain rod brackets are incredibly easy to install and very nice to look at aesthetically. They took me about 5 minutes to install and I will never use another type pf bracket. I wanted something that didn't deface the window casings in my home and these did the job perfectly. Will definitely purchase more.
