CD Review: Great songs, played on a great stereo, they become an experience - Let me start off with, I'm not a huge Bee Gees fan but I did grow up with them through the 70's so I'm familiar with their work. This is my first ownership of Bee Gees music and anyone who knows them, knows the songs. My review is primarily regarding the recording of this double disc set. If you have a mid to high end stereo system, you should not hesitate to make this purchase. The recordings are absolutely first rate. Let me list my components: Marantz 8802A, Emotiva ERC-3 CD player, Denafrips Venus DAC, Emotiva XPA-DR3 amplifier, Focal Kanta No2 tower speakers. The DAC is the only high-end piece in the system, and it is a recording revealer. As I listened to the list, even the songs I didn't care for I had to stop and give time to. The track Lonely Days sounded so crisp, so detailed with such depth that it actually sounded like I had a live orchestra in my living room with the Bee Gees singing along to it. Yes, it's loaded with "most" if not all of their hits and it's fun to sing along to but.....if you have a revealing stereo, you won't want to sing, you'll be content to sit back and "experience" it!!! This earns my highest recommendation. Review: ALL of their top hits! - The Bee Gees have been one of my favorite bands for most of my life. I love their music. The songs on this album are all of their top hits. I love this 2-disc set! So good!

ALL of their top hits!
The Bee Gees have been one of my favorite bands for most of my life. I love their music. The songs on this album are all of their top hits. I love this 2-disc set! So good!

Good Music
This double CD has really good music on it if you are a Bee Gees fan. The quality of this particular CD is questionable. It was presented as a "used CD in like new condition". I had this package delivered to my work office. I played both discs once and they played ok. The next time I tried to play disc one, it would not play anymore but disc two played ok but had a few skips in the last song. I wanted to return the item as I assumed it might be a home burned CD, but I decided to take it home and try it in other CD players first. I played it (once) in my car and my home player and the discs played well. So far, I've not had the time to play them a second time in my other players. Not sure what the issue is but I decided to keep it since it did play in my car ok and home player ok. Could be a problem with the CD player that I have at work, but I doubt it since it plays other CDs ok without problems. Also, the picture of the CD shown above did not match the CD that was sent. Weird, but that's ok. The song list matches. I gave it 4 stars because I like the music and I'm hoping it will continue to play in my car CD player in the future.
