I would suggest small. I got small for my 10-11 lb cat and they fit but I should have ordered medium. Kittens would use extra small.

Im not sure what you are asking exactly. You push claw and you put tips over the claw. It lasts maybe 4 weeks until the claw grows then falls off and you replace.

Can these go on the back claws too

Yes, it comes in different sizes but one of the 3 cats didn't like it and chewed them off of herself and one of the other cat's.
