Great replacement cable and from a reputable brand, I used this part to replace the broken speed lever cable on my Kona bike and got my bike working again. Inexpensive and reliable easy to install and adjust by yourself. To do this job I recommend you the 4th Hand tool (look up here for Enzo Bicycle Professional Brake Shifter Gear Cable Caliper Tension Puller Plier Tool) and this will help you a lot to get the required adjustments done.

Totally addressed the sticky shifting issues I was having with my road bike ... swapping cables is surprisingly simple. Wish I hadn't waited so long! I love the quality of Shimano parts.

Smoth fast action, great cable

I don't think twice about using these more expensive cables with the modern Shimano shifters, like the Sora 9 speed in my case. With the tight turns that the cables need to make with these shifters and for smooth and reliable operation, these inherently slicker cables are not only worth the extra cost but also specified by Shimano for good reason for this key function on the bike.

I recently pieced together a bike with a 10-speed Shimano 105 derailleur (RD-5700) and it skipped some gears when shifting. I replaced the cable with this after researching and it worked like a charm. I also thought it was only enough for one derailleur but there are two cables and enough housing to do the front too!

This cable works well. It has low friction and seems durable, but if your bike has drop bars and bar-end shifters you might not have enough housing to complete one bike. You would think they could include enough housing to cover the worst-case scenario. The length of the inner cable is fine

Nice ultegra optislick chain, probably the cheapest I'll ever find it. Ordering bike parts on here is like playing the lotto. Sometimes you win, usually you don't. But one thing is for sure, you won't get exactly what you ordered.

You maybe asking yourself if the extra cost of these over regular cables is worth it. I have say in my opinion 100% yes. These make a real difference. Shifting is noticeably improved especially down shifting. These are the only cables I am going to use going forward.

Worked perfectly. Easy to fit. Originals are better than some unknown cable got cheaply from the local bike store.
