Very capable scan tool
This Kingbolen K7 is perfect for the do-it-yourself or the pro auto tech, this scan tool is very close to what I can do with the factory scan tool. This compact scan tool packs a punch! With bi-directional control and the ability to scan all modules, it's a versatile tool. Whether it's resetting maintenance reminders or handling tasks like changing electric rear brake pads, the camera works great. The speed of the tool is also awesome, it is a wonderful tool very friendly to use and has nearly everything you need at a great price point! 3 yrs updates included! The touch screen is great and responsive and it's lag free. It does everything! It commands things on like fans, windows, and anything else electrical, the K7 being blue tooth you can be right at the engine bay to diagnose a part while commanding it. Any special function or reset you can think of this thing does it. It's a good size to carry around and it comes with a nice zip up storage carrying case. This kingbolen K7 is way beyond a simple code reader it has so much options as comparable to OE diagnostics. I was able to unlocked my vehicles additional features as well, it is a very capable unit I would highly recommend it.

GREAT SCANNER - Buy one!
This thing is VERY capable. I've used it for bi-directional troubleshooting, I've been able to WRITE VIN TO REPLACEMENT ECU/PCMs (including IMMOBILIZER and KEY OPERATIONS)! Huge benefits there. Live data is great, the information is spot on, and it is very easy to use. I was looking at $1600 name-branded scanners for their capabilities. I'm an Amazon Vine person, and I will say this - I paid full price for this on my own, and I would recommend it to everyone. High value, good design, easy interface.

Powerful, Portable Mechanic in Your Pocket! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Thinkdiag2 OBD2 scanner is honestly a lifesaver for anyone who likes to take charge of their car’s maintenance or just wants to save themselves some trips to the shop. I’ve tested this scanner on my Mercedes, BMW, and Chevy, and it worked like a charm on each one. It’s incredibly versatile with its bidirectional control, so you’re not just reading codes—you can actually command your vehicle’s systems, making it ideal for real diagnostics and functional tests.Connecting it to my iPhone was a breeze, and the Bluetooth connectivity is solid (no annoying disconnects mid-scan). The Thinkdiag2 app is well-designed, too. It’s easy to navigate, and even if you’re not super familiar with diagnostic tools, the app’s layout helps make sense of what’s going on.One of the best features? You get access to tons of systems beyond the standard OBD stuff—ABS, SRS, transmission, and even some deeper manufacturer-specific diagnostics. That’s a serious step up from basic readers. And the live data is clear and customizable, which really helps you monitor your car’s performance. If you’re a DIYer or just like staying informed, this scanner is worth every penny. The cost is up there, but considering what you’d spend at a shop, it pays for itself quickly.

Doesn't work as advertised.
I too considered the negative reviews and decided to try anyway. I emailed ThinkCar and got confirmation that I could do a 2008 Prius ABS brake bleed and linear offset relearn for our ABS actuator replacement project (yes, the $1200 part, or the $2700 repair at your local shop). It can be done. The mechanial part is actually not hard, just tedious and time consuming. It's the post repair configuration that gets you. I noted in the product FAQ's that functions were not as "robust" on IOS, so I purchased an Android tablet. Software would not install, said incompatible. First flag. Installed software manually on the tablet no issues. Initialized the software for Toyota and successfully registered and connected to car. Proceeded to run the ABS brake bleed but it would not finish successfully, crashing at various points or finishing "unsuccessful". Four hours of retrying and searching for answers, no luck. No online support, email or phone only during work hours m-f. Not taking a day off to get the runaround as described in other negative reviews. We then proceeded to use the mini vci cable and cloned tech stream software also purchased off Amazon. (Which involved building a windows 7 pc for compatibility, and downloading an ancient copy of tech stream from a forum because the software included in the Amazon product was bogus.) Which, believe it or not, actually worked. There are other required functions in order to actually complete the job: resets, clear the various DTC's due to the system being dissembled, and a final reset to clear the brake, abs and vsc dash lights, which I'm not sure the ThinkDiag could accomplish, never made it that far. This seems like a great product for DIY work. Affordable at $135, a great advantage over other products - which there appear to be none. I spent several hours and contacted several vendors trying to find a diagnostic scanner to do this work and it appears there are none, save the several thousand dollar commerical products, or possibly the Harbor Freight scanner at $900. Sorry folks, very enticing but not ready for prime time.

This Dealer Level Scanner Works Great - Don't Be Fooled
I watched multiple youtube videos about this product and received conflicting information. After using this tool on all of my vehicles I found codes that my cheaper scanner tool could not find. I was able to use the bidirectional testing to fix a fan cooling issue on my infiniti. This is a tool that works great! This will take your skills to the next level on diagnosing vehicle issues. I highly recommend!
