Best designed cold brew maker!
We have had this cold brew maker for about 4 months now. I bought it for my husband who needed to switch to less acidic cold brew for his GERD. We don't really care for cold coffee, so we just heat our cups up in the microwave and it tastes great. The design of the pitcher is excellent. Love the removable silicone base, easy to clean, and easy to make the coffee. I found a widemouth funnel that makes pouring the coffee into the filter tube easier. And when adding the water, I stir the coffee in the filter tube with a chopstick to help it flow faster. Glad I got the larger one. Because the pitcher seals so well with the topper, we only have to make coffee once every three days.

Excellent and great quality!
Things I’ve learned using this very nice maker: Making a new batch: You really don’t want finely ground coffee grounds. I made that mistake the first time, just using what I had for hot coffee. I highly recommend measuring out your grounds to the recommended amount and use a measuring cup each time to add them. Eyeballing 5/6th full is proving very inconsistent 🤣. I have used room temp water and I’ve used cold water straight from the fridge because of laziness, I don’t notice a difference. I am really only drinking coffee out of necessity though, not to enjoy the taste so there might be others with a more sophisticated palate that feel differently. I use 4+ cups of water and and use a large measuring cup to pour it In. I go over the max line slightly after getting all of the water in and settled (basically as high as I can fill it to still be able to shut the lid without overflowing) and I pour about a cup in, stir with handle of tiny spoon, mash down with spoon part of the spoon (is there a name for that?), pour in another cup and repeat. It can take a couple of minutes to do as the water settles and you push the grounds back in. I go above the max line because even after doing all of this, there were batches that the water was below the max line because things have settled. I need as much coffee as I can get so this is works well. When I do this, I get 4 cups of cold brew, which is three days worth for me. I have let it brew for 12 hours, 18 hours, and 22 hours and like 22 the best. So when I’ve had my second (of 3) day’s cold brew I make a new batch to have ready for day 3 just to be safe. You never know when the kids or your anxiety will keep you up all night and you’ll need a little extra. One thing that will help to have: a tiny metal spoon. I use it to stir (with the handle) and then mash down the grounds after the water has been poured in. I have tried a plastic chop stick and it didn’t work well, I have also tried a butter knife and that was terrible. The tiny spoon works great!. Pouring for consumption: I use a reusable coffee filter to strain the brew out of this container because no matter how big your grounds are, there is a gunk that forms at the bottom that I don’t want to drink. So after it’s done brewing, I pour the entire container into a large measuring cup (the same one I use for the water) THROUGH the strainer, then pour 1 1/4 ish cups into three mason jars. Seal them up and put them in the fridge. You can adjust your portions however you’d like, I just found that 1 cup of cold brew wasn’t quiet enough. Mason jars are your best friend. You can pour your desired amount of cold brew per day directly in to them and refrigerate until you’re ready to drink. Add your water (I didn’t realize you had to do this before making my first batch, but I’ve learned I don’t like the 1:1 ratio as much, so I use 1 1/4 cup cold brew pre-measured in the jar and add 1/2 cup of water) directly into the mason jar and add milk/creamer (you don’t NEEED anything, I like 3 tbsp of creamer though because I don’t love coffee and I also don’t do milk/sugar, it’s not enough sugar for me 🤣), add an ice cube or two, and drink with a reusable straw from the mason jar.. The plastic tumblers are also a good option but I don’t like refrigerating them as much because the seal isn’t completely tight. I also prefer drinking out of glass. Now you could pour directly from the cold brew maker, but I want to filter mine and I can’t make a new batch if I’m storing the cold brew in there... so the timing didn’t work out the first couple of batches doing that. The only downside, I do wish it wasn’t glass. The amount of moving this thing that is required while making a new batch always makes me nervous. Especially when I have to sit it on the sink to pour out the grounds (although I am going to look for other uses of the grounds in my yard or something). It does have a rubber bottom grip that is removable but I’m clumsy and am just one bad night’s of sleep from knocking it over and it breaking. But it is very nice it is glass and dishwasher safe and very easy to clean by hand in a pinch. Overall I would highly recommend. This is a great cold brew maker. I do wish I had gotten a larger size one because it takes a lot of grounds and I only get 3 days worth of coffee. I think a larger size would only use marginally more grounds and would get 4-5 days worth but I can’t confirm. Happy brewing!

Pretty snazzy little cold brewer
I bought this after already owning the Takeya cold brew coffee maker so I have some experience now with two different makers. I find the Takeya to be superior only in that it is much easier to use, however, the coffee that comes from this brewer tastes A LOT better for some reason. So up front: I would definitely buy again, customer service is amazing, and I love this maker enough to use it daily. That said, I care about honest reviews so I am giving you one. Ok so for the pros. The thing looks amazing, every time I would fill it up at work people wondered whether I was making meth or cleaning a grill, this thing surely turns some heads. Next is the stainless steel and the glass, besides the necked bottle, it is relatively easy to clean. Just get you one of them sponge wands and you will be fine. To clean the metal tube you just stick it under warm running water. The best pro by far is the flavor of the coffee, turn that Foldgers into pure gold my friends, this thing will make most coffee taste a thousand times better. If you really want a treat, get you some Texas pecan coffee, I use the Lola brand...lawd is that some good coffee. Ok so for the cons. Biggest one for me is that it takes FOR EVER to fill it up. The tube goes in the mouth of the bottle and you fill that up with the grounds. I suppose you could just fill the thing up with water and then put the tube back in but if you want good coffee, you are gonna sit there a while pouring it ever so slowly so that it doesn't bubble over the top. On my rush days I would jam a butter knife in the tube while pouring the water to make sure it was getting all the way down to the bottom. Pouring the coffee out is also a pain, you have to pull the tube out to pour, which I guess is fine but still a pain. Next con is that this is a cold brew coffee maker that is designed to brew normal ground coffee, not cold brew ground coffee. HOWEVER, I fixed that by putting the coffee in the tube first to make sure I got enough coffee, then i dumped the tube out in the glass, put the tube in the bottle, and poured in my water. Put the lid on, give it a shake and wham, cold brew. Now, because of the smart design, when you go to pour it, instead of taking the tube out, you leave it in and just take the lid off. The coffee pours out through the center tube leaving the grounds in the bottle. Ok so sounds like a lot of cons but it really comes down to quality. You are buying a quality piece here that is made of glass and steel with perfectly machined parts, and it shows by way of flavor of coffee. I use it every day! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

Great purchase for cold brew coffee fans
Love this carafe. Easy to use and maintain. This brewing method makes great coffee when you use fresh coarsely ground coffee beans.

Defective Lid? Not sure - No Airtight Seal
EDIT IN 2021: So the bottom edge finally cracked. It hit the inside of my stainless steel kitchen sink while I was doing the dishes and it cracked. Honestly, it didn't hit very hard, so ... I was surprised that it broke. I enjoyed this a lot for the past 3 years so... conflicted on whether it's worth purchasing another one since it's so fragile,.... For the most part I think this brew maker is really sharp and can be very useful. I really love the slick look of it and it's very beautiful! And because the filter is steel, the 'clean up' after my first batch was unbelievably quick and easy. Like the others have said, even coarsely ground beans can have tiny sediments that get past the filter, so I was a little worried at first when I could see the little particles swirling around in there, but as one reviewer mentioned, the sediments do sink to the bottom. As long as you don't stir it or shake things up, you should be okay. I poured my first cup and it was super smooth, without any sediments -- but we'll see what happens with that as I get closer to the bottom of the batch. I wouldn't recommend placing a paper or cloth filter within the metal one because this would slow down the process by a lot and also leave you with less concentrate. I think the better solution would be the final concentrate after the 18 (my preferred time) hours of seeping. Okay, so why the 3 stars? I think I must have either gotten a defective unit or maybe I just lack the common sense to do this right, but the lid doesn't seem to be ANYWHERE close to "air tight". I mean, there is absolutely no suction or even tightness that I feel when I put it on, it's like I just gently PLACED a cover on top, without any sort of seal. I tried it with the filter in and tried all different sorts of ways to make it seal and 'close' properly, but it just would not work. I gentle nudge, and the cap would just come right out. And when I put my concentrate back into the fridge after the seeping was complete, I tried putting the lid on again, this time WITHOUT the filter, since I had taken the grounds out, and it was even worse. The lid was sliding back and forth and there was no stability in where it was sitting. If I let it shift over to the mouthpiece side of the opening, there would be an on crescent shaped opening to the other end, where the lid wasn't even touching that side. So... I don't really see how such a lid could form an airtight seal or keep my brew from spoiling faster. For this lid problem, I can only give this brew maker 3 stars. I really wish it was as perfect as it seemed when I bought it!!
