As always, LP is great!
Man, did I pick the wrong year to plan this trip. But like all of Lonely Planets books, this is great. LP is my go to guide with maps, great reviews and suggestions for itineraries. Hopefully I'll be able to utilize this book next year!

Good Information on Beijing and Shanghai highlights
This guidebook was valuable for my trip to Beijing and Shanghai for sights. Wish that there were more suggestions on places to eat. For lodging I used book.com and it was amazing. Did not expect international destinations and this guidebook was not the best source for lodging. However it includes all of China and offers many valuable tips. The map to the Beijing subway was very valuable as well as tips to the Beijing and Shanghai airports.
