We had a power surge and motor quit running. Got my replacement and it's running like a Cadillac again.

Easy to replace. Saved me quite a bit of money rather than buying a brand new canister. Got me back up and running in no time.

It won’t last forever and when you replace it my gosh you HAVE TO SET THAT O-RING JUST RIGHT, if it’s off just a little bit you get a constant leak and if your setup is like mine that means carrying the whole heavy filter in and out of the house multiple times. It can be a headache.

Fluval is a typical parasite company! My FX4 is barely 2yo and the motor dropped dead! When trying to fix it I find a ceramic shaft on the impeller wtf? Not the problem! The motor died, again wtf 2yo? I order an $85+ tax shipping etc. motor unfortunately knowing the impeller is not included “that should be” that is another wtf moment!? I get the motor and these parasites don’t even include an “o” ring, seriously? Bottom line, fluval that “USE” to be a good company is total trash and I don’t recommend doing business with!!! Hope this helps making a decision in your filter choices?? Garbage company garbage product like everything else we are sold today! Designed to fail!
