These high-quality storage boxes are great for storing my 1000-meter spools of thread. They're clear so that I can see what thread colors are stored in each box. They are sturdy and stackable which keeps them neat and organized and, because they have a lid, it keeps my spools of thread dust-free. They're made of a thick hard plastic that is very sturdy; they have a hinged lid, and the latch is very good. The only downside is that they don't have a handle for carrying. A handle would be very helpful. I had purchased the smaller stackable Brothread storage containers that were a group of 4, snapped together and had a carrying handle. These were too small for my larger spools (they fit the 500-meter size) and the Brothread company was very helpful in suggesting which size would work best for me. This new one is perfect, and I even bought more (I had more thread than I realized!) They are a little pricey, but I would definitely recommend them!

I received a set of these storage boxes as a Christmas gift and liked them so much I ordered three more sets. Because they are clear, I can easily find the thread colors needed for projects. I have both Richword 800M and New Brothread 1000M spools and they easily fit within the boxes, even with spool huggers in place. The spindles keep the spools from sliding around when moving the boxes. These are far more functional than storing thread spools in a cardboard box. The box and latch construction are lightweight plastic, so careful handling is recommended to avoid damage. How long they will hold up to regular use remains to be seen, but this purchase has made my life easier and that makes it a great value!

I love these thread organizers. Clear to see everything. Easy to use locking snaps. Holds my thread spools that are cone shaped with a big base. (Thread from Missouri Star Quilt Company). They stack for easy set up on my shelf. Sturdy for frequent use.

They are perfect to store your thread and perfect to carry your thread to a class.

These organizers fit embroidery thread brands like Robison Anton that have a large bottom to the spool. They are clear so you can see all your thread and be able to find a specific color quickly. I use one box for each color group. They stay securely closed so you could bring them to a sewing retreat, however, they are made of a hard plastic that may crack if you accidentally dropped them. Also, they were very carefully packed with soft Styrofoam all around to prevent any breakage during shipping. These are the same thread organizers they use to sell at Joann's. I have purchased them from Joann's website in the past and they have arrived cracked and broken because they were not packaged properly. I am so glad I found them on Amazon so I can keep adding to my embroidery thread collection.
