Really perfect for my use. I had a similar product that I have used for several years. However when I upgraded to a larger and slightly heavier phone my holder just couldn't hold itself up. I had been having some minor problems with it and these changes pushed it over the edge. But I liked it! Guess what? No longer making it. So I had to search for a new holder. I found it with this IPOW holder. It has everything I liked about the old one but improved. It has a clip that catches around the vent slat. Makes it a bit difficult to remove, but also makes sure it will never fall off. It has a kickstand that holds it upright (soft tips), the stand has prongs (soft as well) that hold the phone upright and padded arms that go around your phone. All of this makes it very difficult for your phone to come off accidentally. Better than my old one, it has a very quick, one touch button to release the arms so it is very easy to remove the phone. It is also easy to adjust for angle position or vertical to horizonal. To sum up, excellent product. Well made, sturdy and easy to use. Perfect.

Installed in '05 Acura TL and '08 Honda Civic for use with iPhones (8 & 7+). Easy to assemble and easy to install into vent area for desired view. The holder squeezes firmly against the phone so it doesn't drop out or move around in the holder. The feet provide enough stability where you can push against the screen without the phone moving around. The phone release mechanism works well with your thumb on the front and a slight push on the button from behind to release the phone from the holder. Cord drops down between feet without interference. No problems with site lines in these two vehicles.**If you install this in a vehicle with a touch screen make sure the feet are not resting on the screen as this may limit the touch features you're used to using.**Release spring operates slowly/ sticks in cold weather, so remove phone carefully.

I bought this to replace one that squeeze clipped or may clamped would be a better word, to the vent in my 2018 Ford Explorer. The other design would pull that vent mostly closed. This new way of mounting doesn't do that, which I really like. It does a great job holding my over-sized Samsung Note 9 phone and case too! The bad is, it was tricky to install. The reach on the clip is just barely long enough. It required some fidgeting to get it installed properly. The other challenge is it rattles if you don't have your phone in the holder. With phone attached, it's quiet and rock solid. The rattling when it's not is a bit annoying.

This thing is great. I was worried because the price was a bit low and the pictures were not great showing the latches. Just in case you missed it in the details, this has a hook and plunger on spring tension so it can take a little bit of playing around with since you need to get the plunger pulled back far enough for the hook to make it into the vent and behind the fin of the vent. Once you get it though, this thing is solid. The phones didnt move once in place and the unit was solid to the dash. Perfect.

I had three different phone holders before and were terrible, the phone use to literally flight around my car with minimum impact, I replaced one by one in short time. I visited my family some weeks ago and I found out my brother put one in my dad's car similar to this, and I drove the car for five days and I ended up loving it. So I spent some time looking for one similar and I found this one, I have had it for two weeks and I couldn't be happier. Very stable, doesn't move, my cellphone stays perfectly.

Would be fine for a standard depth phone but needs more depth to accommodate thicker cases for bigger batteries. Samsung S3 with double battery works OK if you push the phone center in while clamping, (mechanism works fine), but the side pieces simply aren't tall enough for thicker phone cases, as with a triple capacity battery.Hook works well on heater vents with large gaps but can get stuck in smaller ones - use a thin-bladed knife to unhook.

I am very happy with this mount. It is still solid and stable after a year of use, and I am confident it will keep going for many more. The key feature compared to many other vent mounts is the system. Instead of the clamp system that just bites over one vent blade, and whose jaws weaken over time, this holder has a spring fastener that keeps the holder in place indefinitely.

I like the design of this guy and how well my phone sits in it. I can definitely trust that this guy will do its job. The mounting wasn't superb for my car (Kia Rio), but my parents have the same phone mount and it works better in their car. So, more of an issue with my car than this. I think the one thing I don't like is how it doesn't catch on vents all that well so it slides around on my vents easy. But I'm not concerned about it coming OFF my vents. I'd buy this again if I had to.
