Really is metal everywhere it counts. Perfect fit for a 98 Ranger xlt. Pleasantly surprised, great value and far more durable than the last two we've tried. Not loose or rattling at all after 3 months of daily use.

It's a great replacement, however it could be better. I like the quality because it is all metal. Unlike other competitors were only part of the handle is metal and the other plastic, the important parts where the stress is placed are metal. What I don't like is the gap that it leaves. The hooks are a bit too small, and the metal arm where the hooks are should be wider, thus avoiding any gaps. I also don't like that bolts and nuts were excluded. Unlike other competitors who include such hardware, this product did not have that. Also, I feel that a door gasket should have been included. I can feel air escaping through my doors.

The handles fit perfectly. 2002 Ford ranger. Better quality than the ones I took out. I read multiple reviews here where people complained because the product is not entirely metal. It’s metal where it counts. The handles I replaced were made entirely of plastic. Both snapping after being exposed to cold temperatures, where the rod hooks into the handle.This product, the handle itself is metal as well as the curved piece that the rod is inserted into. The only plastic is the piece that lays flat against the door where you insert new grommets or bolts (depending on how you choose to attach the handle) in order to secure it to the frame.

Loved that the product, major parts were metal unlike the OME part that broke. Installation was simple. Took about 20 minutes from start to finish. Many great YouTube videos.

Installed this on my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT.The part itself is high quality. The only drawback is that it doesn’t come with installation hardware—but that’s clearly disclosed, so no complaints there.I followed another reviewer’s recommendation and picked up everything I needed from Lowe’s for under $5. I’ll list the hardware I used below. Big shoutout to the guy who posted those pictures—seriously helpful.Skip the rivets. Watching people struggle through that on YouTube was enough to convince me. Bolts are the way to go.Ford Ranger Door Handle Install Hardware:• Hillman 1/4”-20 x 3/4” Hex Cap Screws – Grade 8 USS• Hillman 1/4” SAE Flat Washers – Hardened• Hillman 1/4” Split Lock Washers – Alloy Steel• Hillman 1/4”-20 Hex Nuts – Grade 8 USSYou’ll need a 1/4” drill bit to remove the old rivets before installing the new handle with this hardware. Make sure to follow a solid YouTube tutorial and you’ll be good to go just use the hardware above in lieu of replacing rivets. (If you wanna do it the easy way).
